I initally swapped a music course for this course and it saved my ...... The class was similar to a summer course timewise, but you will earn your grade. Syllabus is key and be prepared to read alot. Prompt emails and clear assignments. Well worth the time and you will earn your grade

Comment:

Lopez is an awesome spanish teacher. I took him at ASU. He is funny in english and spanish and always encourages large class discussions on any topic, which helps students to develop their spanish. His oral exams (2) were not hard but you must talk with a partner for 10 minutes. His quizzes were clear and I enjoyed going to class. Will take again.

Super easy! I took this online and it was a late start class and still was a piece of cake. He doesn't read what you write and the class is graded on 8 discussion boards (drops lowest grade) and 3 papers (he doesn't read them) and a midterm and final. You don't even need the book! Take this class online!! Easy A!

He was awful...didn't even take the final and I got a C in the class. My tests grades were lower than that so how is that even possible? I know less now than I did when I started the class.

Constantino was friendly enough, but he is not a teacher I would recommend for beginning Spanish. Students are STILL dropping the class and it's the end of semester. It was easy for me because I had already taken Spanish, but he moves too fast. Many students in my class are struggling to keep up.

For beginners, this class is difficult, as he neglects the students who are struggling.He's not clear on assignments or due dates.I withdrew because of confusion of assignments.Within a few weeks most had also dropped his course.NO MAKE UPS OR LATE WORK ALLOWED!The confusion and rigidness can lower your grade considerably in just a few weeks.

I also had Lopez as a teacher for a Spanish Humanities class last semester. I thought he showed too much preference to certain student, namely the more attractive young women. Other than that he was a good teacher.

I don't know why others rated Lopez badly. I took a class called Hispanic Heritage in the Southwest with him and he was great. I thought the material of the class was a little boring at times, but Lopez was always enthusiastic. I recommend chating with him once or twice outside class so he knows you, he's a really friendly teacher.
