It was a little hard to approach him in the beginning of the semester, but I had him as a winter term sponsor and got to know him better. Once you know him, he's a lot nicer and funnier than he might seem at first.

He is very willing to help and friendly. I always feel that he gets a kick out of knowing more than the students because he is quick to point out mistakes in a sarcastic way. Uses the phrase "Are you sure you are doing this right?" often but isn't always helpful in offering a better solution.

Definitely very helpful and funny in lab, not necessarily the most approachable, but if you do ask for help he'll gladly give it to you. Tries to explain everything before you do it, which is helpful sometimes, but just pointless other times.
