I didn't like him at first; seemed spacey and detached like everyone said. But as the class went on, I ended up learning a lot about myself. He is a genuinely nice guy and is very helpful if you have any questions or need to discuss anything.

With cory you get out of the class what you put into it. if you are willing to get involved and listen to him even tho he can sound crazy you learn a lot about yourself. detailed reading is unnecessary just figure out the topic and come up with your own opinion thats all he cares about and always ask for help whether you think you need it or not.

I was thrilled to take this class...until I got there. Boring, he didn't talk much, we sat in silence for up to 5 minutes. He told me my writing was boring and lacked imagination...I would not recommend a class with him, unless you want to be bored and insulted.

Cory Brown is a red haired god. I was honestly shocked when I saw some people didn't like him. His class is fun and he brought our class of complete opposites in every sense of the word together and I think we all got a lot out of his class. I liked him so much that I went on to make him my writing advisor and I don't regret it!

I took Pursuit of Happiness with Cory, and it was very much a guinea pig class. Cory really didn't know what he wanted the class to be about, so it ranged from mind-numbing to some creative thinking. Still, he's a nice guy, and that's always worth something. The class just wasn't so great. He's sort of a ghost in the classroom, lacks presence...

horrible hard grader- the class has potential to be interesting but he is incredibly nitpicky. completely out of touch with his students, he doesn't give a **** about them just their work, which he deems as usually inadaquete.
