I had Dr. Whalen for two separate women's studies courses. She's old. Her projects and assignments are extremely outdated. She gives feminists a bad name by singling out men, racial and LGBT minorities in class. She spends the first half of each class reading the textbook to you (not even kidding). She seriously needs to consider retiring. AWFUL.

Mollie taught me to look at things in a new light. I agree that she stifles your opinion somewhat, but her class is interesting and she has a great sense of humor. No tests - just reading and papers, and she always gives you a chance to rewrite.
