Dr. Lewis makes her lectures very clear and to the point, with a little supplemental reading. The tests are very easy as long as you take notes on her lectures and read. She is super helpful and nice. She will make you sit in the front row if you want to use your laptop to take notes, but it's totally worth it. Loved the class!

Before the class started I was thinking great I got a horrible professor due to the reviews but he isn't bad at all. I took his 6 week hybrid course at Valencia and did just fine. Attendance is only mandatory the first day of class other than that everything else is done online however you can go to class on speech days to receive extra credit.

Very opinionated often not even necessary, quite rude at times and talks as if your a remedial! plz plz plz! spare yourself on this unfulfillable experience! talks in circles alot...and oh btw he hates hates yellow cars!<---things mentioned in class like this are very irrelevant.

Don't waste time trying to be eloquent in your speeches - just hit all the marks he wants and you'll be golden. My class was dismissed early every week. It's not a very high stress course, pay attention and be prepared for little quizzes (read the book and look over your notes). I was disappointed with his grading - it's hard to get an A with him.

The class isn't too hard, but he is very strict! Make sure you don't miss more than one class. He is also slightly condescending, and expects the class to be your whole life. Make sure that your speeches are within the time limit! I took the class at night and he almost always let us out an hour early.

Take this class and do a speech about how to make an elephant out of towels and you will do fine. Definitely a fun class. Don't take yourself to seriously, relax, and you'll get a good grade.

He's a great lecturer but a hard grader. Back in high school I got A's on all my oral presentations. He gives me C's. He'll mark you off for things you didn't do, like no eye contact when you make 90% eye contact. Even if you explicitly cite your sources, he'll mark off for not citing them.

I dont know what everyone else is talking about. This is one of the easiest speech teachers at ucf. Tests are straight from the book and he is willing to help all day via email. I am not a very good speaker and he gives me high B's on them.

This is an easy class to get a B, but a hard class to get an A. He doesn't justify his grades for the speeches (for example, will write "great intro!" and take 2 points off the intro anyway), and it seems like he has only a vague understanding of the material in the book because he doesn't explain it well. I definitely do not suggest this class.

Take this class over the summer!! Speeches are so easy, and you get to pick fun topics, easy grader. Study for the tests and quizzes by reviewing the chapters before class. I Attend this class once a week for 6 weeks, and I even missed a class and got an A. We ended up only having 3 speeches because he travels a lot,nice guy & very helpful.

He's fair on your speeches, but his lectures are very unclair and don't pertain to the speeches. He's extremely hard on test and quizes. I know how hard can a speech test be? Trust me he makes calculus easier. Don't take him.

comes off with tough teacher attitude but isnt that bad...tests and quizzes are hard...you must study...speeches arent bad...hes a fair grader...dont have to dress up and dont have to have too serious of a topic...go to class and easy A or B
