I enjoyed his class although if one hasn't had background in this information, or the Bible in general, you will have a hard time. I did all of the assignments, including the extra credit, but did poorly on the tests. He is very specific on the tests so read the material carefully. All of the assignments I completed saved me in the end.

He's an amazing professor. His lectures are very interesting, however they are very detailed so be prepared to take lots of notes. His tests are very hard, most of the questions are very specific to the lectures and the content of the books. Very approachable and open to helping students when they ask questions. Great prof. And super hot.

I am taking his class right now. He is very knowledgeable about the Bible and he shows it. However, he is not good at giving the information in a way that everyone can understand and use for his tests. His tests are super specific, and honestly way too difficult for anyone to get an A on. I would never take him again.

It was very frustrating taking this class as a non-bible major. He favored the bible majors above everyone else, you get looked down on for not knowing much bible. There were three super hard tests and a paper that made up your grade, so not much chance to boost your grade if you failed tests. Not a helpful or caring teacher.

I really enjoyed Professor Anderson's passion for the Bible, it really inspired me in class. Everything covered in lecture is relevant, there are only a few exams and some writing assignments; just time consuming. I had a hard time with exams which was probably a result of my attendance. Overall he was a good teacher- do the work and go to class!

Fantastic professor! He is very clear, knows his stuff, and keeps class engaged! I want to take him for all my Bible classes. Hardest class I ever took.

Does not care about the well being of his students and their successfulness in the class. He was very rude and for me not having much knowledge of the Bible, he did a poor job at explaining and preparing for the tests.

Professor Anderson is absolutely wonderful! I was in his class for Exo/Deut and 1/2 Samuel, and both were fantastic. He is clear and genuinely cares about his students, but he's definitely not an easy professor. Still, it was a great class and I wish he taught more Bible classes!

I went into Exodus/Deuteronomy having no prior biblical study experience in my life. Hardest class I've ever taken. However, if you are a biblical studies major, I would definitely recommend taking Dr. Anderson's class. He's nice guy, and it's a very interesting class, but if you are just trying to pass for your gen ed, he is not the way to go!!!

Dr. Anderson's class was life changing! My Best decision was taking his class. Makes class interactive in the best way and answers any questions clearly. You can tell he has a passion for teaching. If you apply yourself and want to learn you will do great, it is difficult but able to get an A. He doesn't sugar coat things. I highly recommend him!

He was by far one of the best proffesor's I had this semester. He is highly intelligent and I promise you that you will leave each class amazed. His lectures are engaging and I love his teaching style. Class goes by really fast. There are only four tests and a few papers, but you have to be willing to do the work. I highly recommend this class!

By far the most inspiring professor I've ever had. His teaching style is unlike any other I've encountered. He is very interactive and really challenges you to back up your beliefs. His tests are shorter so you need to study. However, his lectures are very engaging and easy to pay attention to. Well worth the effort.

Dr. Anderson is great, if you are in his honors section, he is pretty flexible in regards to testing (can choose either more multiple choice or essays). Not the clearest in regards to what he wants you to know/write about but ask questions and he'll clarify as much as he can. Pretty easy grader with papers/essays. Study for tests and you'll do fine

Loved him as a professor however he is extremely hard. His test are very short with no review of the test prior and no study guide. It is up to the individual to do everything. He was my favorite class and professor but it is a very demanding class and a lot of reading. Liked this class, but it was extremely hard.

This class is fantastic because it encourages careful thought and consideration. I spent a lot of time outside of class just thinking about the material. His teaching style is very interactive and absolutely encouraging of questions. Most of the class is dedicated to understanding truth as it relates to the Bible, and understanding OT development.

I had him for Exo/Deu and although it wasn't a challenging class, you still had to study and keep up on the readings. He grades papers really easily as long as you put thought into them and the tests are only 20 points so you have to study or a few questions wrong will kill your grade.

A lot of reading, 3 books and the Deuteronomistic history, plus 2 papers and 3 tests. The tests are short so you need to know it all because missing a few questions can really mess you up. Overall a fun class and really cool Prof. but you have to do the work to get a good grade. Definitely not an easy class.

Craig Anderson is probably one of the best professors I have had at APU so far. His lectures are interesting, thought provoking and very easy to pay attention to. The grading in his class is pretty hard, this is definitely not an easy A course. But over all it was fun and challenging. Don't take this class if you are looking for an easy A.
