Very fair professor. Extremely well versed and knowledgable in his field of study. He tackles the hard questions of the Bible and encourages you to think and use your mind. Very approachable and willing to meet if you set up an appointment. His unique personality adds character to the class. The group discussions are beneficial.

If you expect him to teach he wont. He goes from the book he read and reading comprehension is the name of the game. The book is very thick and full of jargon and difficult to understand. I would have preferred to take a different professor for this class. I did much better with others in the department

Dr. B is a great teacher and a scholar's scholar. He basically teaches the book (which makes sense: it's his book) with some added info mixed in. The in-class discussion is great and the man clearly knows his stuff. Even the most esoteric questions get some sort of answer. He is one of the most approachable teachers I have ever met.

His quizzes are easy, but the midterm was near impossible. You have to almost memorize both his book and the Epistles of Paul to do well, and most of that just to pass.
