LOVE HIM!!! HIS LECTURES ARE NOT MY STYLE AND I HATE THE STRUCTURE: PUTS A PICTURE AND TALKS FOR 50 MINUTES, SO RECORD THE LECTURES AND NEVER MISS A CLASS! HIS TESTS A SUPER HARD, BUT GIVEN YOU ACTUALLY ATTEND CLASS AND READ AND TRY YOU CAN GET AN A. IF YOU TAKE LAB THERE ARE 4 2PG SUMMARIES AND ONE LONG REPORT (WHICH YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO DO.

Prof Campbell is an expert in his studies I really enjoyed taking endocrinology although I was worried at first by other comments. His lecture is not super organized but if you listen and actually try to learn you will do well in his class. This is one of the first times I remember what I was taught and am able to take that with me. I recommend him

Very smart professor But his tests are tough, you gonna need to read and really understand the material. Reading before hand is helpful because then what he is teaching will make sense.

Dr Campbell is indubitably an expert in this course. To do well in this class, ATTEND LECTURES, RECORD HIS LECTURE, you won't need the assigned books, but you'll need the recommended readings as they'll be your extra credit 40 pts in the final. Exams are 80-85% T/F questions with 2-3 essay and label the pict/diagram. Exam average was around 65-75.

Comment:
Dr. Campbell's class is tough. His lectures are not necessarily focused on test material, so it's important to constantly refresh yourself on the anatomy and physiology of what he is talking about. He expects a lot of knowledge about cell types and macromolecules. His class puts into focus a lot of human physiology and is very enlightening.

This is probably the toughest biology course you will take at UMass or anywhere else. There is tons of information to learn and you will work very hard to pull off even a B.

Good class but Campbell is extremely unorganized. Overall, students have done poorly in his class. No curve. Campbell yelled at the class after the second exam for poor performance.Yet, I would not say he is a bad professor.

Dr. Campbell is no dought very smart, but I think he sometimes forgets we do not all have his backround in the subject. His class is the hardest class I've ever taken. you WILL work extremely hard if you expect to pass his class.
