I'll sum it up for you in a few words.... Attend all classes, take notes and you will get at least a B. You don't even need the book. just show up to class, pay attention, take notes and get your solid grade. Easy, easy class... just make sure to show up to class and take the notes.

Wonderfully nice and funny guy. Very helpful and he makes the subject interesting. Easy A if you go to class, take extensive notes and don't worry about reading the book. He gives easy quizess-but you need to have attended the class to do well on them (MC). He takes attendance-for participation points. Tests are also based on lecture and films.

His style of teaching is very easy to follow. Begins each class with a funny story related to religion. 6 quizzes and 2 test that are really easy, no need to read the book. Just attend class, take notes and you will do fine. He throws in some EC for participation so attend class. He is a great Prof. and plan to take more classes with him.

Very monotone - Absolutely so enthusiasm. Jumps around with in the lecture. Hard to follow what he is saying. You have to REALLY enjoy old videos and his boring style of teaching.

I started out the class not really being interested in learning about religions but am VERY glad I took the class. It was very informative and Professor Forney was easy to understand and humorous. Quizes and tests aren't difficult if you take notes in class and study prior. I'd recommend this class!

Prof. Forney is straight forward. Class was interesting..I would recommend this class.Take notes, go over them, and you'll do fine. He was very willing to answer questions through email.His stories are funny. The additional reading assignment was far better than the text book

This guy is the worst...His class is so boring. He never uses the text but the problem that I had with this guy is he is so lost he kept telling us inaccurate information. He couldnt even manage to get us a correct syllabus for the entire semester, we were using one from a previous class that incorrectly listed the amount of tests, quizzes, etc.

I've taken two classes from Professor Forney and I will take more if I can. He tells funny stories about jogging with his dog. You get to watch a lot of movies, he's straight forward on what you need to do, and extremely helpful. He will also meet with you if you are having trouble. He's a very nice guy that wants his students to succeed!

Forney has an answer for almost every question, keeps the atmosphere light, and the quizzes are very easy. However, this can be EXTREMELY misleading to how his exams will be. And if you feel you didn't get the grade you deserved on a short answer, don't bother talking to him privately about it. He won't take you seriously.

His tests are straight from his lectures but the problem is that you never know whether what he is talking about is actually relevant. He likes to lecture about nothing and I thought the material from his class was completely irrelevant to religion. More of a history class than anything else. Definitely likes to show videos!

Dr. Forney is a really good professor. He explains the material very well and provides overview sheets before he discusses the religions. IMPORTANT: you need to do really well on the quizzes and the exams to get an A. Don't let his laid-back teaching style fool you! His exams aren't super-difficult, but they can be tricky.

He is a very entertaining professor. His lectures are like a stand-up comedy routine at times. You are tested straight from lecture materials which makes the class fairly easy although he always has a few tricky questions. If you answer a question wrong, don't expect him to change it for you even if you argue your point with him. Overall:good

He talks like William Shatner, thinks he funnier than he is, which almost makes the class harder, because you underestimate him. His final grades make zero sense, kinda like he made em up. Captain Video, so bring coffee!!!
