Possibly one of the worst teacher I could have encountered during my first semester. Broder is utterly incapable of understanding the same material he teaches, is utterly useless when it comes to getting extra help, and he is overall the worst possible professor to take Astronomy with.

Wow. This man was a meme. It took me and some friends multiple classes to not laugh in the middle of class. This professor's lecture's take a hilarious turn when he goes on a semi-existential rant. Also, his 3-hour classes tend to end early. If you need to take a science for your core, take this guy if able.

Extremely boring class. I did take it as a 3 hour class but I think it would still feel long and boring if i took it for 30 minutes. Broder doesn't seem to know what he was doing. I asked him for help numerous times on labs and even he didn't understand how to answer his own questions. Do not take unless you have a good background of astronomy.

wow is this class boring!!!! i dont recommend taking him i didnt learn anything in the class-- all power points and movies - tests are from pwrpt so u dont have to go to class at all i have a B with a 76 - he curves but it felt like a waste of my time :(

Very funny, very smart. He's a high school teacher and you'll notice that. Relies heavily on powerpoint, but makes it fairly interesting. Evening class is an absolute breeze - literally slept through it and got a B.
