Dr. Tsuchida is a gem at Whitworth for his clarity. He explains concepts in a concise and organized manner, and gives you comprehensive information about what is expected of you. He's not the most outgoing prof, but the university would be missing something special without him. If you put in the time, you'll do well in his classes.

Very easy professor, especially for upper division courses. Almost all questions on the exams are multiple choice. Textbooks definitely not needed for any of the classes I've taken from him. Clear lecturer. What is on the board will be on the exam. No reason not to get an A in any of his classes unless you are not in class or paying attention.

Dr. Tsuchida is quite wonderful as a prof. He is very, very clear during lecture, entertaining, & consistent in a way that makes it easy to take notes & study from them. I loved that he cracked dumb jokes constantly. For animal bio, no reading was really needed (compared to plant- boo). Never talked to him but I know he would've helped if I asked.

Very clear, very concise. I showed up to class, took notes, and passed no problem. As long as you pay attention during lecture you're pretty much good. Best 300 level bio course at Whitworth.

Not a good D-group leader. He doesn't seem to like any of us and can come across as kinda harsh. He is a super hard grader on the activities and my groups had no idea how to improve them. His expectations were unrealistic and he didn't appreciate creative answers even if they were well thought-through. Don't think out of the box!

Really one of the best professors I've ever had. I always looked forward to going to class. His lectures are organized so that everything makes perfect sense, and he is excited about the material. easy tests (if you can memorize) and no reading or homework. I 'm planning on taking more classes from him!

Dr. Tsuchida is THE BEST. His lectures are super interesting, you never have homework, and the tests are a breeze. Don't bother buying any of the books for his classes, cause you never have reading, and his lectures are so easy to understand you won't need clarification. Take all of his classes. They're wonderful.

Mr. Tsuchida is an awesome teacher. His lectures are interesting and engaging, and he ends every lecture with a Far Side comic. His test are kinda hard, but you can study for them. He's a fair grader and won't try to trick you. Absolutely zero homework.

Dr. Tsuchida should be the model that all Biology professors should follow. No busy work, teaches applicable conceps, and allows students to put the puzzle pieces of life together without being forced to believe one thing or the other. An amazing professor to say the least. I greatly admire his amazing teaching strategies!!!!

Take his trip to Friday Harbor for Janterm. It's awesome. Take all of his classes, they are fantastic! Animal Behavior is the best class at Whitworth. His lectures extremely organized and very easy to understand, while the content is phenomenal.
