I took this class last year, and it was an easy A. No exam from him, no big paper, just daily reading outlines. Rambled a bit but very interesting guy. He was a neo-con, he converted to a liberal... so his take on politics is unique to say the least. If you fail his class you are either incredibly lazy, or outright retarded.

I've had Dr. Waggaman about 4 times at Radford. While he is an easy teacher for 100 level classes, he is one of the most intelligent political philosophy teachers I have ever had. It saddens me to see him leave, he has def made an impact on my life. I have kept every book we have used because all of his classes were amazingly interesting. One of the best at Radford University, hands down.

He's a great professor! Class can be a bit boring sometimes considering you just take notes the entire class, but coming to class is worth it so you can get the notes. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but if you didn't miss a lot of class he added and extra point or so to your final grade.

His classes can be difficult. He is a very nice and happy person and gets crazy excited when students actually discuss in his class, like a kid at christmas. He teaches in an airy way floating from one subject to the next and assuming everyone else is keeping up with him. DO NOT TAKE HIM IN THE MORNING. Instead of just daydreaming you'll snore.

Awesome professor. I learned so much, he gets off track sometime but he is very interesting. He is one of the best professors I have had and you can tell he truly cares about his students. Anyone who rates him badly is just lazy and doesnt try and thats why they get bad grades.

Don't take this 8 a.m. class. He is boring! The books are useless and irrelevant to the class title itself. The class is boring enough but he makes attendance mandatory, so you HAVE TO GO! He trails off all the time... If you want to learn about international relations, or posc is your major, don't take him. You'll be as lost as he is.

Didnt learn much about international relations, books were somewhat irrelevant, so my advice is dont take POSC 140 if you dont like to read. Reading the books is key to the class, plus he is really helpful to talk to, but often gets confusing when he tries too hard to explain a concept.

Ok first, he does grade A-F not incomplete or not. Only 3 papers.. so if you mess up once, you are screwed. Way too much confusing readings if you dont like POSC. We spent most of the time talking about elections, and NOT talking about what we were learing. I was confused when it came time to write our papers.

I had Waggaman for theories of IR. He is the worst professor at Radford. He teaches you nothing. Instead of learning about theories of IR, we learned about political philosophy. But he is super easy. Just turn in a bunch of logs and you will get a B. You learn nothing. He also rambles on about golf. Just take him for a GPA booster.

Took him for a upper level poli sci class. He is a nice man and I have always respected him but he is never clear on when anything is due. He changed when our final paper was due about 6 times, he also changed the requirements which was confusing. Its not fair to do that to students.
