I agree with other ratings - boring subject matter, but Capps really tries to keep things moving along. Always cracking jokes and never minds an office visit if you're struggling with something.

This is not an easy A, because it is not familiar subject matter whereas Physical Sci etc is, however, Capps made it the most bearable and the best out of Rocks that can be made A+ for Capps, C for the subject material.

I took both Geology 1 and 2. Made B in both. Gives lots of x-tra credit work to help with your grade because the materal is hard. Just come to class and labs. Turn in all of your work. Do exactly as he says and TRY! If you do this, I promise you a good grade. He is So Funny!

Dr. Capps is awesome. So sweet. BUT... the class is so incredibly boring and the "lectures" do not prepare you for the exams, which are pretty difficult. But if you show up for class & labs and do extra credit that he offers, you can make a good grade in the class even if your exam scores are mediocre. Thanks Dr. Capps!

Dr. Capps is a trip! The lectures and material are pretty boring but he tries to keep you entertained. The class is not easy by any means so you do have to devote some time to it. But I won't hesitate to take him again!

Great teacher. Really funny. Helps you with labs when you get confused. Also helps to try and keep you awake when the lectures get long. Never once got angry or offended, even when most teachers would have. I would take his class again.

He's awsome! Enthusiastic and compassonate teacher,especially if he knows your trying. Didn't pass a test,but his point system saved me! I had him for 2 separate classes/same semester. I I wouldn't of had a prayer with any other Science teacher. Love him!
