I was so excited to take his class, but it's been a major let down. He lectures exactly from the textbook using a and does not bring any additional material or insight to class. I asked him to help me with an assignment and he told me that he doesn't do that. Hey shows up late& takes extra long breaks- he comes across to me as very lazy.

Very disorganized class; he spends a majority of class time rambling about current events/ his opinion then springs information never covered on the midterm. We hardly got through the chapters of the book. As someone who took a policy class before, I learned absolutely nothing from this man. He would take "20-min" (actually 30-40 min) during class

Professor Garcia is probably the worst professor I've ever had. You are WRONG unless you say exactly what he is looking for. Completely unfair grading. If you have the chance to take another professor, DO IT.

Had this Professor in the late '90's. As I now teach, I am familiar with this site and thought I would check out his ratings. I had an excellent experience with the Educators at SU. However, I had a terrible experience with him in Grad School. He was arrogant and condescending! Went to him for help, and he acted as though he couldn't be bothered

Dr. Garcia is fairly rigid with regard to grading and his own way of thinking. If you are Conservative you will likely hate this class as he leaves no room for opposite opinions. I was open-minded and did all the readings assigned and did fine in his class. At times Dr. Garcia gets off topic or spends too much time on one topic.

Dr. Garcia is a wonderful diversity professor! I learned so much about myself and the world. I wish I could take more classes with him. He is tough on grading but fair! I was able to speak to him about a grade it was fairly reviewed and changed.

Dr. Garcia is old school, think 1940 Catholic school, you can't speak, make eye contact with another student or God forbid laugh. He failed out people for texting. Don't let your phone ring. Avoid this man at all costs. NO ONE EVER GETS AN A
