Best Russian teacher ever! He is always there to help. He is a very understanding professor when it comes to grades. Put forth effort, and he will help you as much as he can. With that bing said, shame on you if you take advantage of his leniency. He truly loves to see students eager to learn. Work hard and take Dr. Ford!

Dr. Ford is possibly the best teacher I have ever had. He absolutely knows what he is talking about, and explains things in the clearest way possible. He is extremely encouraging and made me fall in love with the Russian language, so much so that I am now majoring in it. TAKE HIS CLASS. Whether you want to major in Russian, or for your lang credit!

I've had Dr. Ford for RUSS 201 and 401. He has a stellar professional reputation and he is an awesome professor. He really knows his subject matter, cares and about his students, explains things clearly, and is more than willing to help. He is always patient and very fair. You really can't ask for a better professor.

Excellent teacher. More helpful than any other teacher I've had at the university. Completely understands that not everyone picks up the language at the same pace. Very available for office hours help. Highly recommend.

What can I say, Dr. Ford is amazing!!! The nicest professor you will EVER have, & definitely willing to bend-over-backwards to help you out with a difficult language. As long as you are willing to put the time it takes into learning Russian, you will do fine. Just make sure you DO THE HW/ORAL DRILLS & study for tests/quizes, &you will love Russian!

Dr. Ford is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He always helps everyone out when they need it and is more then willing to go over things multiple times. homework every night but its easy and really prepares you for the tests. Not an easy A but Russian never is. If you work at it you will be fine

I had Dr. Ford for 301 and 302 and he was a great teacher. I started off not knowing how to read or write, but a fluent speaker and he really helped me get my russian up to speed. Class was pretty easy, but does require some homework and studying. Recommend him.

I've had Dr. Ford for numerous classes over the years. He's very kind-natured and accessible and never judges or lords over you the way some professors tend to do. The material and coursework are always reasonable and Dr. Ford works with you to ensure that everything is clear. Great teacher.
