Comment:

Very sweet lady, happy to see her students grow and discover their paths. I was in this course accidentally, but it was the best class I've ever taken. Not a lot of credits, but I took a lot out of it. Class discussions on well-spaced out reading was nice. Laid back class, not very demanding. Final presentation easy, not a stressful class at all.

Professor Scannell is one of the best professors I have ever had in my life. She not only cares for her students but the entire student body at Valparaiso University. She is a great resource to talk to and helped me figure out what I specifically wanted to do with my life. Truly a blessing to the campus.

Pointless class. Supposed to be professional writing, but is more like middle school grammar! She treats us like babies by giving stupid reading quizzes over material in the book that doesn't even matter and makes us do pointless book exercises that aren't even for a grade. Class is a joke and waste of time!

She is a great and understanding teacher, if you have to miss class for anything, it will be excused. Tests are really easy and it is over everything in class. Very nice, loves to get off topic. Great teacher

beyond easy...in fact it gets annoying. It is just like being in middle school again, students do not take her seriously and so the whole class becomes a joke. I did not learn anything new. And she makes you work in groups and present for absolutely no reason. and she can be outwardly rude making the class uncomfortable

If the only criteria u have for liking or disliking the prof or the class is whether or not the class is easy, well then she is a good prof and this is a good class. Otherwise the manner in which the class is conducted is very juvenile and I feel like I am in high school. I could care less about knowing ten different ways to analyze literature.

Great teacher, very knowledgable, keeps the material as interesting as it can be. Extremely easy to get along with, and an easy grader, as long as you go to class. Solid, fair teacher, and she is a babe for a married 40+ year old woman!

SHE IS LIKE A DRILL SERGEANT. SHE IS VERY UNFAIR. SHE LIKES TO MAKE UP RULES ALONG THE WAY, EVEN THOUGH SHE LIKES TO APPEAR TO FOLLOW THE SYLLABUS TO THE TEE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TAKING HER AS A TEACHER AT ALL.
