I think that everyone here is overreacting, and they just expected an A to be handed to them. If you work your butt off you WILL get your well desearved A. But if you don't then you will reep what you sow. And she really is a nice lady if you talk to her during office hours.

Horrible professor!!!!enough said. DON'T TAKE HER. I had class with her one year ago and was smart enough to drop it; might I add that is the only class I dropped in my entire college life. The tests are so uncomprehensable that not even the TA's could solve it. Gives F's like nothing. For those asking why she still teaches, tenure.

I took this course years back. I thought she was a really good teacher and helps students think about physical chemistry. If you are interested in actually learning material to do well, then take her classes. Otherwise, if you are into memorizing material, then this class is not for you.

Wow. The comments I've read about her are pretty hideous. I never took her and the last comment was 2 years ago so I guess she got fired. I don't know why UIC hires people who are as horrible as her. I know Chem is a tough class as it is but shouldn't professors prepare us for the MCAT, PCAT, DAT, etc. What the **** is the point of Xe?!!!???

okay I didn't take her I was lucky enough not to have but I've heard a significant amount of horror stories. Many people I know who were used to getting an A or B IN HARDCORE SCIENCE CLASSES failed her class. I'm glad I didn't make the mistake of taking

SHE USES A DIFFERENT BOOK to teach the class- Physical Chemistry by Castellan (2nd edition, 1971). Most of her homework problems come directly from this book- a few come from the assigned text. She will not review well for exams so be prepared for anything!

she's the worst teacher at UIC and she is teaching the most difficult chem course at uic. Her taests are a nightmare she gives very loooong homework assignments that you spend all wk. on and don't learn anything from. You work your ass off only to have to take the class over. Only about 2% pass.

It's always easy to tell which comments are written by the students and which ones are written by the professor herself to boost her own rating. She gets 30 bad remarks, but you see 2 remarks that give her wonderful praises. Gee, I wonder who could have written those? Professor Jameson, is that you?

She is insanely hard, I had to drop the class because I was only getting two hours of sleep a night, and that is just from her class work. The first exam was a nightmare becasue it was things that the world has never seen before. Avoid taking her at all cost, boy do I wish I took that advice.

I feel sorry for all the students who have to pay their tuition towards poor professors like Jameson who do a horrendous job of teaching. I wasted lots of time and energy in Professor Jameson's class learning very little because of her inability of teach.
