Worst teacher I have ever had this man is a bleeding liberal. Its people like him that destroy the foundations of America....avoid him if you don't see his way he targets you. A true failure to his field. If you copy his view word for word agaisnt your will like I did you'll get an A. Just dont take the class if you know what's best.

I admit that he is funny and tries to make this class interesting. However, he does expect graduate level work and does not give very good detail in what he is actually looking for in your work. Much of his grading is not based on a definitive rubric and his opinion on your work matters a great deal.

Birkland's a great guy and he tries to make his lectures less boring with anecdotes and jokes. Just a really nice guy that enjoys teaching and enjoys his students. The course was pretty easy, and if you do well enough you can opt out of the final.

Good teacher - very obviously liberal, but doesn't force you to see his side of things in debates. Fairly easy course - managed not to take the final. No papers. Show up to sections - he's extremely big on that in lecture as well - do well on weekly tests and you'll have no problems.

Pretty entertaining professor with his asides and rants about everything, very knowledgeable and an excellent class, beware of the group project, it's like a fourth of your grade and you can get screwed if you have a terrible group
