Dr. Pope is a great professor. She is very smart and funny. There is an extreme amount of reading in this class but I found it very interesting and rewarding. She is a fair grader, you get what you give. This is not an easy A but if you follow directions, do the reading and show up for class you should be fine. I would take her again.

Dr. Pope makes class fun and she has a fun sense of humor. The only thing I didn't like about her class was the tests. The tests can be a little difficult and I normally do great on geog tests. She puts a lot of information on the tests that she doesn't even ever brush upon so study a lot and you will do fine!!

You know how some teachers review rather than teach? SHE DOESN'T EVEN DO THAT! When I told her I didn't see anything worthwhile to use for my project, her response was "just look harder". A month into the class, and I hadn't learned anything more than what I could've on my own via Wikipedia!

I recommend any class with Dr. Pope! Geography is not a strength of mine, but I learned a lot! She's very funny, and presents information in a very memorable way. We were supposed to read the book, but we tested mostly on her notes and discussions.

Prof. Pope is a very interesting teacher. Her classes can be every affective, yet she is very tough. Remember to go beyond the notes for the exams they aren't difficult but you need to provide examples that the notes don't generally give. Pay attention and you'll pass.
