Comment:

To be honest, I am awful at math. However, Prof Wood is easy to understand, accessible outside of class, and explains things so that everyone understands it. There is no reason to fail this class because she is willing to help everyone who needs help. Tells cheesy jokes at the beginning of class and tries to get everyone involved.

Queen of procrastination. Class was a half semester, and more than half of our assignments are missing from gradebook. This is unacceptable on a professor's part and making it a requirement to go to an event the last day of the semester for a grade is ludicrous.

THIS CLASS IS REALLY TERRIBLE. TAKE STAT NOT SCM. SHE GOES THROUGH HER LECTURES AND LESSONS IN LIGHTING SPEED. REALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND HER. SHE IS A NICE PERSON TO TALK TO, BUT DEFINITELY NOT THE MOST QUALIFIED PROFESSOR. TAKE A CHILL PILL AND TAKE IT SLOW CAUSE MAYBE IF SHE ACTUALLY DID THAT, MAYBE A LOT OF HER STUDENTS WOULD UNDERSTAND MORE.

Words can't even begin to explain how tough this class is. I've never struggled so much in any class. So demanding and stressful. Prof Wood is a great person, but she lectures so fast and the material on the exam is insanely difficult. The only savior is the homework quizzes. How does anyone get an A in this class?!

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL, DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!! Her exams are completely different from the work she assigns. Funny professor, ill give her that, but you will not pass the class unless you have taken Stat before. I dropped the class and I genuinely put in a lot of study hours towards this material. Would not recommend to anyone.

She is a really nice person but this class could have been an online course and i would have probably received the same grade. She does not teach anything she only reads from the power points slides. She takes attendance so i wouldn't skip. The test are really hard for this class, so you have to study a lot

Class presentations are not always clear. Talks EXTREMELY fast and is sometimes not the best communicator. However, she was extremely helpful outside of class during office hours. She is also very personable and one should not be affraid to ask for help. Given the chance again, I would take someone else.

whoever gave this lady bad ratings is nuts! she is awesome!! this is hands down the MOST useful class at Penn state, and its only worth a credit! the only thing that sucks is that she never hands back graded assignments. but otherwise, if you apply what she says in real life, ure guaranteed to impress! this lady is one of a kind and a good time!

This class was pretty easy, if you pay attention in class and go over the hands on exercises by yourself you really shouldnt have that much trouble with the class. She just takes a while to get lab grades back. thats pretty much the only thing i didnt like about her. She always opened class with some lame joke which made it interesting

Scattered, and slow to grade assigments. Preaches professionalism, but lacks it herself. A no-show a couple of times for practice presentations. Poor communication skills. Easy grader, but this leaves the experience lacking richness. Look to be frustrated at the writing requirement, which sometimes takes more time than internship.

Very helpful in providing great career advice. Very personable, friendly, tells somewhat funny jokes. Can be disorganized at times and sometimes takes a long time to give back assignments; but its not that big of a deal. Overall, great class and great professor. Attendance is crucial to getting an A.

Anyone who rated this woman with a good rating is nuts. She is insane, talks more about her kids and trying to be funny than actually putting effort into being a good teacher. I am computer savvy and got a B- in her class. Also knew a straight A student that got a D in the same class. Avoid her if you enjoy your sanity!
