Comment:

He's a good teacher. He always responded to my emails quickly. His class is slightly boring, but the exams are easy. You need to go to class and take notes though because most of the exam will come from lectures. These aren't found in the book. I'd say 2/3 of the exam is lectures; the remaining 1/3 are from the book and maps you need to memorize.

Boring!!! Not helpful. If you go to his office to get help he will hand you your test back let see what you miss then send you on your way. He is really boring and you have to go to class. His test come off notes (HINT: BUY U-NOTES). Some questions do come off of readings so you must read also.

This one is going to probably bore you out of your mind, but it isn't too horribly hard. I didn't find it as easy as everyone else seems to think. The book is horrible to read too, but you should definitely do it anyway. Get the UNotes too, unless you can somehow stay awake to take them yourself. Really nice man and not too hard of a class.

HORRIBLE TEACHER!!! I don't care what anyone else says this man was ridiculously hard and boring. I went to EVERY class, bought u-notes, read the book, and studied my own notes and still did not pass with the grade I wanted. nice man but definitely not a good teacher.

Probably without a doubt the most boring class I have ever been in. Easy, but boring. Go to class, it helps, take good notes and at least look over the reading. He's a good scaler, but it's so boring. So boring.

Professor Dawsey is a good teacher and very easy. I would definately recommend taking him for GEOG 1010. Tests are extremely easy if you attend class regularly and take notes. Slightly boring but very easy. He is also a very nice guy.

This class was incredibly easy, but you HAVE to do the reading and study. Take good and concise notes because they will help you later on. Dr. Dawsey is a great guy who is willing to help and meet with you if you're having trouble.

This is one of the easiest classes I've taken. His tests aren't drop-dead easy, but he scales a lot. Just go to class and take notes and read the text, and you'll do fine. It's kinda boring, but it's an easy grade. He's a nice guy.

Anyone who goes to this class everyday, studies U-notes, and the book should get an A. Otherwise, you should drop out of college. This class is not hard at all. Tests are straight forward, multiple choice, about 55 questions. Not bad at all and Dr. Dawsey is super nice and helpful.

Horrible teacher! I went to class everyday, studied the notes i took, u-notes, and the book and still flunked every test. I've been to see him 3 times concerned about my grade and he just gives you the answer key and tells you to look at what you did wrong, with out any explanation! I wouldn't recomend this teacher to ANYONE!

This class is fantastic. Dr. Dawsey is very laid back, accepts late assignments no problem, and gives good lectures. Class grade is weighted towards map projects. If you've ever done any drafting, you're money, I turned in what I thought were poorly finished maps, and they made As. The computer maps are EASY, but one or two do take a while.

Helpful, interesting, knows what he is talking about. The class is pretty simple but at times may be hard; you just have to go to class everyday, take good notes (he puts up an outline before class of what he is going to go over), and be sure to read the text book chapters because a few of the q's comes from the text. Good teacher, etc.

Note taking was easy. He even put terms up before each class so we would know what was important. Despite this, the tests were pretty difficult and the final exam was horrible. He does scale his tests, though he usually only adds 5 or 10 points. If you are willing to go to class every day and study your notes, the class will go pretty easy.
