Comment:

This is the most fascinating class I've ever taken. I loved it and I'm not even an Ed major. He loves the topic and all of his students. He makes the class very personal with stories and engages with discussion. The class requires minimal to moderate effort. I would absolutely recommend him for this class.

This class was such a disappointment. He is passionate but does not engage the class. He often seemed unprepared and scatterbrained, and he just read off the powerpoint slides. He also never answered his emails. Definitely one of the most disappointing professors I've had.

Going to lecture was pointless. I was very disappointed. He makes it too easy, unengaging, and he makes an interesting subject pointless and boring. It didn't seem like he ever prepared for class and just read notes off the premade textbook powerpoint slides or rambled on.

Best professor I have ever had. His class was fun, interesting, and he was always interested in our overall wellbeing at Messiah. His personal stories about schools and teaching were very helpful and the discussions were always informational.

Dr. Murk is one of my favorite profs at Messiah College. He totally ditched the information for the class and instead spoke about more relevant issues in Education. Loved the class...he kept my attention. Totally recommend him!

Super scatterbrained. If you take one ece class with him, you have taken all of them. He teaches the same topics in all classes. He reads you word for word from his powerpoints which are really boring. He really knows his subject matter, though. He is a nice man just not the best professor.

Class is mostly taught by the students themselves. He doesnt believe in tests, but 60% of your grade is from tests. Impossible "fill in the blank" questions on the tests. Class is fun because nothing is off topic as long as students want to talk about it. written assignments cannot have spelling mistakes, but the syllabus can.

Murk's classes are informal and fun. His testing and grading styles are easy. However, he seems somewhat unorganized and does not have a syllabus to help you plan ahead.
