Comment:
worst professor ever. Lectures are really confusing. He has slides that he puts up every lecture, but he complicates everything. Rather than explaining it simply and making the class interesting, he does the complete opposite. DONT TAKE HIM.

Good class - reading barely required. Quizzes are very specific and short. Discussion is required. It's easy to tune out his lectures because he says the same things over again in different ways, but that's because it's intro to soc. He takes a poll on the first lecture and then applies the results to the topics - makes them relevant. Nice man.

Its a pretty interesting class, but the lectures can get boring at times. He uses a lot of stories/examples that clarify, but they can be long and confusing at times. Overall he is a good professor and seems like a really nice guy.

His class is fairly easy and he explains the information clearly. If you want a good grade just go to his lectures, attend discussion and you can get a good grade. He maybe easy but don't take his class for granted or your A will drop to a B lol ;]

EASY CLASS! If you go to class everyday and take notes, you can get a least a B depending on how long you study. There are barely any assignments and they are easy. He gives you study guides for the midterm and final which makes it 100 times easier to study. Great teacher and funny old man!

He's an okay teacher. It gets kind of boring though and he uses a lot of examples. If you take good notes, pay attention and do the reading I'm sure its easy to get an A. I didn't do any of those so I got a B+. meh.

Comment:
some parts of lecture contradicts with the book, there are too many little assignments that makes you lose points easily, and makes it harder to get an A. TA's are too picky with points, taking points off for grammar. Points system is totally off, as a free response question on the test is almost the same amount of points as one mc question.

Very nice. Lectures are long with tons of examples. You can tell he's really dedicated to his work. Go to class cause he gives pop quizzes. Class isn't that bad, just boring.

He is a bit slow and has really dry humor. He teaches well, but he doesn't get a great response from class though he tries. He has a slight speech impediment but is still quite understandable.

he was a pretty good teacher. he added comedy and his own experience to his lectures. i think the only problem why people didn't like to go was because the lectures were too long.

Class starts slow and boring but the pace eventually picks up towards the end of the quarter. Go to lecture and do some of the reading and you should be fine. Do the study guides for the midterm and final, everything on there is practically on the test.

Very easy class, light coursework compared to other Soc1 classes. Just read, go to class, and take notes. Reading is super easy. Somewhat engaging, many personal anecdotes. Just bring your coffee.

So boring!!! monotone voice, put you right to sleep. drawn out lectures that don't teach you much, you might as well go to your TA and that's it. if you have to take him, don't take him in the morning
