He's really cool and easy going! He doesn't use a textbook so taking notes is really important! He provides study guides and worksheets that help you follow with the class. He encourages working with other people in the class but is always there to help and his office hours are super helpful if you don't get something. 10/10 would recommend!

Comment:

Dr. White explains things clearly and takes time to review anything that wasn't understood. He's clear in his lectures and he's fun to listen to. Write down anything he writes on the board to study from later. The subject is a little difficult but he's easy to follow. There's no required textbook, very little homework, and a few tests.

I had the chance to take Dr. White's PHYN 100 & 101 lecture and lab while I was still in high school. He is a great teacher who really knows the subject. Go to class and take the notes. He also gives really helpful practice tests that are VERY similar to the actual exams. I would take a class with Dr. White again and recommend his classes.

Comment:

Doctor White is a GREAT teacher. He is very experienced in teaching Physical Science ( 1/2 physics - 1/2 chem ). He provides practice tests for each exam and they are VERY similar to the actual test. Not a lot of homework. If you pay attention and do the practice exams, you WILL pass. He is very easy going, understanding and funny. Great class!

If opportunity to take him, do it now! Cuz i think he retiring soon. Very awesome professor! Love this man. He doesn't make you buy any expensive textbooks. He gives you handouts to use for studying. There isn't any homework. Just a little bit of studying and a few tests. He gives very good practice tests to work on in class.

I took proffesor white while I was still in highschool and had the opportunity to take college class. Which I took the lab and lecture. He was really helpful. Good note taker, explains and answers questions. He offers a lot of tutoring. Even help me improve my math. His great at math btw! I wish he even taught math

Well as a high school student the class was pretty easy if you pay attention and like math and science. He teaches good but not good enough because I don't really understand sometimes. This guy is a great physics teacher. He makes things really easy to understand, is a really easy grader, and is also hilarious. He is a stickler with attendance, so as long as you show up to class (which you should with any class really), you will get a good grade. awesome guy

(For the Lab) This guy gave me a "C" because I didnt turn in lab assinments. I would have if he would just say SO! He wouldnt collect them and he says that, "You have to try really hard to get a C". What a joke! I thought I would end up with a "B" since thats what I got in the midterm, and he gives me a "C".I glad I am done with his class!!!!!!!!

What an amazing guy! The class was horrible b/c I HATE science, but he rocked it!! Whenever you need help, he's there. Never misses a class and teaches the entire time. He obviously loves teaching. He made the material very easy to understand. Love him, nothing negative to say at all!!! (Plus he's a hot older man, I daydreamed about him in class!)

This guy seems real cool until you do anything to tick him off. He's an absolute idiot when it comes to giving examples when explaining things. One time he compared our ability of looking into an atom with that of an alien from mars looking into a house. He has a crazy temper and often acts completely immature. Lies, not very smart, but easy A.

Amazingly easy when you know what you're doing. Find a good, hardworking, efficient group for labs and you'll always leave at least a half hour early. He's a cool guy, but sometimes he gets on your case about minute details. Overall an awesomely easy class.

Like everyone else said, his class is really really ridiculously easy if you're familiar with the subject matter. The labs are simple and if you work hard you'll never be there long. It's far from being challenging so it can be tough to focus sometimes, but overall not a bad class. Kids who aren't familiar with physics and chem struggle.

He makes challenging material pretty understandable, but visual learners might have difficulty, as he doesn't use any multimedia when it could be really useful. He takes attendance and punctuality VERY seriously though, especially in labs. Overall highly recommended, especially for those who aren't as interested in science.

This guys is awesome. Yes it is an easy class but he makes it somewhat barable with his wise cracks and stories of his record collection. He also cares about the students who care about school. He was a big help and also wrote some recommendation letters for me. I love this teacher.

Mr. White is a great teacher and cares about his students. Very patient and explains theorems very well. You will learn easily from his analogies and stories that are quite funny. So far he is the best professor I’ve had at City College. Highly recommend him for this required class.
