Good teacher although lectures are sometimes boring. He presents the information very clearly and if you just attend class you will do well on the exams. He is a very fair grader.

Comment:

Dale is like a walking encyclopedia. Lectures are incredibly clear and well-presented, and you'll profit greatly from attending. I didn't open the textbook once during the semester and ended up with a B+. I don't know about his upper level classes, but I highly recommend taking classes with him, especially if the class is required.

Comment:

A dull professor. He is very knowledgeable but relies on an overhead projector and repeats himself over and over again. Basically if you keep up with your reading, there is no reason to even attend class. Exams are all essay form and he posts a study guide. Grading is hard to understand, however.

Well first off his grading is NOT hard. Hes fair. If you actually DO the work and LISTEN, you won't think his grading is tough. Goes into depth with his lectures and always responds to e-mails regarding questions. Goes the extra mile to help you. Anyone giving him bad credit probably never went to class and got a bad grade. haha.

This instructor is very helpful and pleasant. Lectures are complete and cover all readings. Grading based on 3 response papers and two exams(not cummulative); study guides are provided for exams.
