Thankfully, when I took him I had already taken calculus II. If you learn entirely from examples then Dali Luo would be good. He moves slowly and methodically which led to falling behind at the end. Minimal explanation, and mumbles during whole class. Great guy, but if there are other options for you then I'd use them.

Nice prof; funny stories; somewhat easy; extra credit quizzes. For the first few chapters (the hardest sections in Calc2) he "walks" through the material; however, he "runs" through the "not easy" later chapters to get back on track (hence "somewhat easy"). Most definitely, the hardest part of his class was the struggling to keep up at the end.

Good prof. Great guy who really wants everyone to do well. He frequently tells stories and has made coming to class interesting. Gives extra credit assignments and will hold study sessions if someone needs help in the class. He does tend to leave some things out so if you are not planning on taking him for Calc II I wouldnt recommend him for I.

Interesting. Intriguing. Fun to listen to. NOT a very good Calculus I teacher. I had not taken Calc prior to college and 100% should have failed, yet he gave me a C. If you want to learn Calculus, I do not advise Dali Lou. If you need 1 year of Calc just as a base req. take him as it will be the easiest class you have ever taken.

Sweet man, loves to tell stories, loves to pray for students. Difficult to understand, explains the easy parts in detail and skims the tough stuff. If didn't have calculus in high school, definitely do the Calc Enrichment or get a tutor. I will say this for him: I should have failed that class but he was benevolent and passed me with a C!

Very caring and sometimes funny guy but DEFINITELY not a good prof for math! Hard to understand, difficult assignments, didn't answer questions. Wouldn't recommend for Calc 1 AT ALL!

Professor Luo was the most influential professor I had at Cedarville. During the time I was taking his class, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. Professor Luo prayed for my mother regularly and even offered to purchase me an airplane ticket to go visit her in the hospital. I will never forget his kindness to me in my time of trial.

Knows his Bible stuff VERY WELL. Makes tests easy and lets his notes and texts speak for themselves. If you can get over the accent and the lack of of's the's a's and an's; you will do well. Knows more than the average bible prof.

clarity is lower b/c he grew up in china, but still speaks english fairly well. He's helpful and understanding and will go back and explain things if need be.
