The best professor I've ever had. You definitely have to work hard and study like crazy but the content is interesting and he's a great teacher.

Comment:

3 Tests + Cumulative Final. All exams were difficult. Curves them, and with enough studying managed to get As on all of them, but they were still super tough. Offers little extra credit assignments throughout. Study guide for final. Lecture heavy, need to take good notes to pass. Lectures were interesting. He's really passionate about the subject.

Henry is literally the best professor at GSU! I would definitely recommend his class. You HAVE to go to class because he doesn't upload anything online. His class is easy only if you are ready to do the work. Gives TONS of extra credit but make sure you do them! He will blow your mind with all the awesome astronomy knowledge.

He doesn't technically use the book but most of what he says in there, but I would not have done as well had I not read the book. A lot of the test questions are based on his lectures and he tells you some questions specifically. Seriously, show up to class and turn off your phone. It's one of his pet peeves.

To be really honest if you have no interest in Astronomy, do not take him. His test's are really hard but he gives bonuses throughout the semester. And his powerpoints aren't clear enough. He is a cool professor though.

Awesome guy. Very attractive and funny. His lectures are interesting and unorthodox. Knows his stuff and the tests aren't too hard if you study and put a little effort into it. Test grades are curved and he offers extra credit. You can catch him running at piedmont park on the weekends(he loves marathons).

He provides very interesting information, knows his stuff. But, it's not the class that is hard, it's his test. Sure there is extra credit, but they aren't all that easy either. Going to class isn't mandatory, but I'd recommend it. Sit in the front also. Participate in the Idol thing he does, even if you don't want to or have no idea what to do.

This is NOT an easy class but Dr. Henry gives you every opportunity to do well. I found it really interesting when he'd talk about the research he does and who he knows. He grades on a 25% curve because he knows his tests are hard. Study and come to class and you should pass.

psych major. hard class. cant use calculators. lots of extra credit. no study guide. notes are over 5 chapters at a time aka 30+ pages of studying. his power points are clear to him but not to the common student trying to understand his abbreviations. can talk fast and expects notes to be taken just as fast. overall he is a nice guy but beware

Todd Henry is the best professor GSU has. Intelligent, passionate, dedicated and lively - he makes learning about the monstrosity of the universe fun. Pay attention, use the materials he provides and think outside the box - you'll score an A. Between curves and extra credit, everyone has a chance to win.

WARNING: On the first day of class HE SAID "THIS WILL BE THE HARDEST CLASS YOU EVER TAKE AT GEORGIA STATE" However, this is somewhat of a bluff. He grades on a curve so 25% of students get A's, 25% B's, 25% C, and 25% OF STUDENTS FAIL. However, provides a decent amount of extra credit. Likes to throw his political opinion around a lot too

Nice guy, but his class is hard. He knows it's hard. Here's my warning: Take him ONLY if you're 100% dedicated! Seriously. You have 3 regular exams and 1 final exam. Of the 3, he drops the lowest. Sounds great, but he does this because his class is hard. Each exam has 50 Multiple Choice Qs. Final exam has 100 Mult Ch Qs. Each has an "ABCDE" choice.

Personally, I didn't think the class was that hard. In order to do well, simply write down anything and everything he says. Yes, it can get tedious if you're not interested, but it will pay off. He will help if you ask. Great teacher. Super liberal..

He gives you a TON of bonus points. Almost 2 a week worth 5-10 points each. His test are difficulut but if you study, read, and come to class there's no way you'll get lower then a B. He gives out a bunch of extra credit to see who is really trying in class to get an A. Obviously anyone who turns all (or almost all ) of the extra credit it trying

His test are extremely hard...they're almost impossible. I studied really hard for his tests and I would always do poorly on them. He does give a lot of bonus points though. But personally, I don't feel that a grade should be earned strictly by bonus points. He's a nice guy, but the class is just boring.
