Dal is the only professor I've had who I would describe as a badass. He's wicked smart, super funny, and makes you work really really hard, but he will move heaven and earth to help you if you put in the effort. He also can speak with apparent authority on a huge range of topics.

Dal is easily the most fantastic professor I have ever had. I have never had someone show such interest in my success or provide as much aid as he has to get me there. I'll be honest and say that this class is challenging, but will dramatically help you grow as a writer and at the way you look at literature. I highly recommend taking this class.

Dal is an excellent professor. He seems confusing at first and his class can be difficult at times, however, he is very helpful and encouraging if you communicate well with him. I was very fortunate to have him as an adviser and an instructor for four courses. He challenges and pushes you as a thinker and writer, and it works. He always makes time to meet out of class and he is as approachable as a hardass professor can be.I owe him a lot. A fab prof.

This class will definitely teach you how to write. There's a lot of revisions that go into your work, but once you finish taking the course, you're going to be a pretty good darn writer. Dal is a perfectionist and can be intimidating but he really knows his stuff. Great professor. Definitely getting your money's worth.

Dal is the best professor I've had at Augsburg. All I can say is he knows a lot and he will change the way you write. I'm a music major and prior to taking a course with Dal I've never applied a course outside of my major to my writing and my writing was probably equivallent to that of an 8th grader. I highly recommend this guy.

You have to give a lot to get a lot with Dal. Had him for Eng 111 and journalism. yes he is a ball buster, but he knows his stuff! if you want to know how to write no matter what you're going into, take Dal's journalism class...I'm in Law Enforcement and still use things he taught me everyday!
