Comment:
He goes through the class material way too fast, and his tests are way too hard. If he doesn't like you for some reason, he will give you a low grade and treat you unfairly. He is quick to assume and very judgmental.

Good professor who covers a wide-range of topics to help you prepare for whatever you do after school. He is a tough grader however. He may think he is clear about what he expects in the business memo's, but it isn't clear at all. Feedback was also generally unhelpful; if you don't know how to write the way he wants, you can expect a BB-.

He is well prepared and well presented - leading class discussions with relevant topics from the news. We did several presentations as well as constantly discussing topics in a communal setting, which was especially beneficial. Biggest suggestion I have is that I would have liked to have more feedback, but nevertheless an enriching class overall.

Prof. Fleming is very knowledgeable and fun. His tests are tough but definitely doable. Practice CPA questions after his lectures! You'll have to work HARD!! Overall, he is a cool guy. You will learn a lot from him!

Really knows his stuff inside and out. Gives good examples and tries to present the material in a logical order. He can move pretty fast at times but you just need to stop him to clarify or explain in a different way. Tests are no walk in the park but if you're a diligent studier and rework in-class exercises you'll be fine. Would recommend.

Fleming's rating is low because he expects students to learn the material and actively participate. Talk to him before/after class about anything, put some effort into the material, and participate in class. You will see he is the nicest guy in the world and incredibly knowledgeable. I think he is the best accounting professor at SDSU, period.

Professor is very knowledgeable, test are hard, my biggest complaint in my opinion is how this professor plays favorites with certain students and ignores others, especially when working on in-class assignments

Hard professor. Unless you have the time to invest in this class I would not recommend taking it. He is a good professor and knows the topic very well, but his tests are super hard. If you do take the class, study the PLE for the test and practice the GLEIM questions.

I had ACC 660 with him. He was always really excited about the subject, and encouraged clasroom discussion, which was great! The subject is tough...but he tried to make the best of the short summer session. You try hard, he's there to help! Funny and tries to put people at ease. Tough grader, I think. But I learned a lot! Do recommend.

There is so much material to learn in this class, so in order to do well, focus on what he points out in his power point slides and use Kieso as a supplemental guide. Do all recommended homework problems from Kieso. His tests will not only have you regurgitate the information, but the problems are in a puzzle format. Got an A

This is a definitely a tough class, but it is do-able. You have to put in the time and effort though. I earned an A- in the class because I read and studied the material that would be discussed in class BEFORE class. If you prepare for each class, do the assigned homework and study the PLE's you will be fine.

I am so glad he is not teaching this class anymore because he is one of the worst teachers i've ever had. he rushes through the lectures so fast to where he doesn't make sense of the material. plus he skips steps that drives students to confusion. His exams are way hard and he just cannot teach at all! plus he makes you feel stupid.

Flemming is not a very approachable person. When you ask him a question, he typically responded what do you think? Exams are difficult, average was about a 65%. I personally didn't like his style of teaching. He went through the material too fast and expected you to know everything. Too bad you don't have a choice in choosing your professors :(

“To earn respect you must first give respect,” is applicable for da Flem. Pay attention to his lectures & what he stresses. Know annuities & depreciation scheds as he shows you. He is one of the best profes I've had after 4 unis & 6 years in college. He is crass, but good hearted, who is doing this b/c he is passionate about teaching & accounting.

Nothing that this guy lectures about makes any sense whatsoever. I studied for a week and half for the midterm and the final and I still ended up with a D in this section. He rushes through the lecture material like crazy and he didn't teach any practice problems until the session before the exams. No notes on exams. WAY TOO HARD!

Probably one of the worst teachers I've ever had. His tests are extremely difficult and his lectures are pointless. I learned everything through independent study and still did pretty bad in the class.
