I gained a great deal of respect for Professor Berman. I learned a great deal from him in every class. He was very organized with his layout of assignments. His 'structured' approach in writing helped provide a needed foundation for me in learning how to improve my writing skills.

This class was long, and a lot of hard work, but I had fun and I made it through. He expects a lot out of you, but he gives you very thorough feedback on papers, and is more than willing to help you work on them. My writing improved a lot because of his class.

Dr. Berman was the best professor I took at USC. He knows so much about film, and you will learn alot if you are willing to work hard and make sure your papers are clear and concise. He'll gladly look over work before you turn it in, too. In a word: awesome.
