I highly recommend Prof Cozort! Really kind man. The readings were always interesting. While the class discussions were sometimes a bit aimless, he is very respectful of his students opinions. The tests are difficult, but as someone who knew basically nothing about Buddhism prior to his class, they really just require a little bit of effort.

Great professor. He is a little boring honestly, but the class was co-taught by Bonnie Burke who led yoga and meditation exercises. This was the highlight of the course. He is an easy grader and very flexible. For exams, I suggest splitting up the reading study guides with others. The exam questions are verbatim from the study guides.

Very nice guy, but cannot teach at all. Broad to the extent of being almost comical, and little to no guidance. I am a Religion major and I find this course to be much more difficult than it needs to be due to the way he teaches. Had I not already been declared, I fear he would have turned me away from the religion department.

Fantastic. I've taken many courses with him. He's most engaging in small discussion based classes or classes he's passionate about (Buddhism in Tibet). Easy on attendance. You must do the reading/guides in order to do well on tests. They seem tedious, but if you do them, there is no way not to get an A in any of his classes. + you'll learn a lot...

Horrible, I was thinking I might be a religion major freshman year but after he had him I never wanted any part of the department again. He is not interested in his student and is lazy.

A good aspect is that he's always open for questions and comments, even if it is in direct opposition to what he's teaching. He's not so great with answering questions, especially when you need clarity on what type of essay he's looking for. His response: "I wrote the question a long time ago, I don't remember." Overall, he's still an easy grader.

Has an attendance policy, no more than three absences. You must do the reading and answer essay questions online every week which is kind of demanding, but besides that he is an easy professor. the other students in the class are usually annoying and convinced they are the next indigo children. an easy A if you get your stuff done

He is a very nice guy. And he is always prepared. Never Missed a class as long as I've known. He is very intelligent and all the other comments are stupid. He is the best teacher ever.

He is the WORST professor I can imagine being hired at a respectable college and my worst experience thus far at Dickinson. Every time I have to sit through one of his horrible classes, I wonder how he still has a job and it makes me question the reliability of Dickinson's administration.

I've never met a teacher who could make Buddhism and Yoga seem elitist, dry, and incomprehensible. He sure has read a lot of books though. I did meet the most amazing person ever in one of his classes though, so I have to thank him for that.
