There may be things that Doc does that may be questionable, but none of that matters. Doc is a wonderful person, there to talk to if you need it. Even though I've only been in a class w/ him for Chorus, he still knows my name and says hello to me whenever he sees me in Crane :)

GREAT DIRECTOR! Doc really knows his stuff and yes he plays faves but come on get really...looking past that he is deff w/o a doubt one of the best teachers Crane has and just might ever have.

Def plays favorites...if you are not one of his favorites, dont expect to get solo's or into Chamber Choir. Also very inappropriate at times with girls. He is a very good choral director, but terrible teacher.

Dr. Gordon was instrumental in my maturation as a musician and as a person. Has learned from the best teahcers and conductors in the country. He's not there to be your friend, he's there to open your mind. Friendship comes later.

Doc is the entire reason I'm in Crane. He tutored me individ. to help me get up to the level needed for acceptance. He is always there when I need him for a question. Doc is one of the true powers behind Crane. He is also an exellent choir director.

I was a freshman during Doc's first year at Crane.He was the most incredible teacher,mentor and person.He turned the choral program around during my 4 yrs.He recently came to do a workshop with my middle school students.As always he was wonderful!!!

When he's on, he's on, but I often get the feeling he's not entirely prepared for Crane Chorus. Crane Chorus for 10 weeks of the semester is priorty #76 for him I think.
