Dan is the man. He's very helpful, encouraging, and takes time to analyze every detail in your writing and guide you towards clarity and a more engaging and sensical story. He's also got a great sense of humor and every class is fun. Be aware of deadlines, and dedicate yourself to your writing and you get an A.

One of the most interesting experiences at BC. Professor knows his subject very well and delivers information to his students in a very interesting format. Very organized and prepared for the classes. I'm looking forward to taking another class that opens in summer 2005 with him. Highly recommend.

Probably wins "BEST PROFESSOR IN THE COLLEGE" award. Organized, Interesting, Very Helpful, Knows the craft and is willing to share his knowledge with the students. It's a shame he doesn't offer other courses. Don't be fooled by negative feedback - Gurskis IS the real thing!

The worst thing about the class was the online comment board. There was no way students could teach each other how to write if no one knows (and of course they don't) You either get comments as good as your parents, or witness others completely trashed. Highly unhelpful. Too costly for hearing humor

One of the best professors at BC. He has a great sense of humor and will go out of his way to help you with your work. He knows his stuff. People who say he isn't a good teacher are the ones who simply didn't do their work.

Whoever game this imbecil a smiley should change majors from film to phys ed. If Hitler was reincarned as a screenwriting professor his name would be Dan. This is the most bitter failed "professional" whose only asset in life is teaching the formula for straight to video. Creativity intimidates him.
