Comment:
Dan is an awful prof. 70% of the class is based on your lab mark which are all individual research papers. Dan is so unorganized and we didn't even have our midterm until the second last week of classes. He makes study guides for the tests which are completely useless because he doesn't follow it. complete written midterm and final.

Dan is very helpful and willing to take that extra step so students know what they are doing. He tends to move very quickly through lectures, and sometimes doesn't clearly articulate concepts and material. But, have no worries, if you pay attention, and do your labs, you'll be fine; he can be a generous marker. Textbook rarely used, but it can help

Easy class, kind of basic for 4000 level but covers lots of issues. Marks really easy, skimming over provided papers is more than sufficient.

Dan is one of the most intelligent people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He expect a lot from his students, but if you actually take the time to ask questions outside of class and show a general interest in the material, he is more willing to help you. A wealth of information.loves motorcycles, and would gladly chat with you about them.

Biogeog Class. Midterm was okay, Labs are interesting. Very nice guy, easy to talk too and very helpful in questions you address to him. The final was very hard, didn't understand what he wanted us to learn, Lots of papers to read and only changed one work in the possible question or a spelling mistake. Most failed the final

So boring, his voice is so monotone. We went over the same slides about 5 times. He spends the first hour and a half in class explaining what we are going to be doing that class. Lots of reading...midterm was long and the final is a take home where the answers have to be 2-4 pages typed per question.
