Actually, he didn't assign so many works compared to other professors but one assignment makes you struggle so bad. Also, his reply to emails usually doesn't answer the question. You should be fine with homework as long as you're willing to work hard for it, but the final exam is extremely difficult. Conclusion A few but overwhelming works,

Will never look you in the eye while giving lectures. Class is hard so show up. Lectures like a freight train and NEVER pauses for questions, never asks students if they have questions. He feels like he gives you enough resources all he has to do is say his speech and you can work out the rest. Not hands on with students or student involvement.

Really brilliant man. Very fair in his grading. All of his lectures are recorded online for you as well as the slides he uses in class. He responds to email questions within 5 minutes, always! Not super interactive in class (he explains the concepts clearly) there is just not a lot of interaction with the class asking questions.

Comment:

Best accounting teacher in Shoreline. Nice to students and sometimes funny. Lectures were sometimes boring and class was really quiet. But, he gives quite easy exams.

Smart with a (very) dry sense of humor - he's brilliant, compassionate, knowledgable and FAIR. Also, he's a good communicator and he is prepared. There are no surprises in his class: he lays it all out. The tests are hard, though: harder than the homework would lead you to believe. You need to study! I will take his classes again.

Dan King is one of the best professors i have ever had. His lectures are very and I usually remeber the things he says instead of what it says in the book, his quizzes are very helpful as they have trick questions that you have to pay attention to. He is really helpful usually emails back to you within 24 hours, if not he explains why he couldn't.

Dan King is great. His lecture can be a little confusing, but he usually follows up with a practice test that clears up everything. I appreciate that he makes a lot of effort to understand the acct program, reply students' emails, and organize. In my honest opinion, he's not bad as a teacher, it's probably accounting that's hard to understand.

This class is great. I hated accounting before I took it, now I love it. Dan is incredibly helpful, especially considering I have never been able to make his office hours (there was a reason I took and online class). Whenever I need help he responds to my e-mails with thorough assistance to my problem.

If you value your GPA or an ACTUALLY understanding of accounting, do not take any of his courses. He has adopted an all-in-one online textbook-homework-test system from McGraw Hill. I found that these online procedures did not help my learning expereinces what soever and his lectures never matched in difficulty to the online work.

He is the worst teacher I have ever had... DO NOT TAKE HIM. He is boring, gets off topic, and his homework doesn't even help you with the tests. Which are hard. I'm a good student and struggled the whole time in the class. He ruined my accounting experience and grade. Doesn't offer any extra credit either!

The lectures are kinda boring but this is accounting so we can't expect much to be fun. If you listen to the lectures or come to the class, take a look at the power point, you should be fine. He likes talkative kids! Ask a lot of questions, he will like you. Secondly, he is OK. You just need to do all the "LearnSmart" activities and you will be pass the class. His practice test is also helpful and the test is very similar like the practice problems.

I took the whole sequence with Dan. First of all, remember that he is not there to entertain you - Accounting isn't that fun... Second, yes, you can just go by the text and be OK in his class. Dan is there to help you if you have questions, and he is very good at that. All HW & Quizzes is online and even the final you can do online. Good professor.
