Cool teacher, he doesn't require you to be in class, since he doesn't take any attendance. One test. Easy. One presentation with a group. Two speeches that are beyond easy. I would not take anyone but this guy. He tries to make the classes fun and tells some corny jokes.

O'Rourke is really easy, and because I was in the Honors section, there was a lot of discussion (as opposed to lecture). He's pretty unstructured and open-ended, and I had a hard time with this. Nonetheless, it was a good class in my opinion. Also, at least in the Honors section, the hundred dollar book is not used, so that's nice.

Amazing!!!! I had him for a 9 in the morning class Monday, Wednesday, & Friday and this was the only class I could stay awake in all day. Super nice guy and always willing to help. Overall class is really enjoyable, and he is pretty funny! :)

Dan O'Rourke is absolutely the best professor in the communications department. Very little reading is required and you only give two speeches and a group presentation during the entire semester. He is very easy-going and pushes back deadlines for assignments all the time. Our class got two full extra weeks out of him on our group assignments!

I dredded speech and taking this class but dan is the best ever! If you are scared at first or shy like me he will have you speaking like the first week and comfortably!!! I feel like i could talk to any group of people now! Great class and easy plus you dont need the book which saves you money!!!

He's such a funny professor!There are only a couple of speeches and they're really easy.The test is long but it's easy.You can skip class and still get an A+.He lets you out early and even cancels class sometimes.At the end of the semester you dont have to come to class and listen to other speeches.
