Comment:

Professor Saracino is very knowledgeable and really cares about the subject material. His class is very interesting. The downfall is that the tests are very hard as this course requires an entire new way of thinking. Only tests count towards your grade. This makes the class very difficult.

Comment:

Professor Saracino's lectures are clear and convey the material effectively. However, there are very few examples. There is a lot of homework, none of which counts towards the final grade. The final grade is determined by only three four-hour exams and one two-hour final. This course requires an incredible amount of time to do well.

I don't have to repeat what it is like taking a class with him; it is a joy. I just wanted to elaborate on the fact that the guy inspires you to take difficult math, even if math will not end up being your lifetime pursuit, which you might be inclined to do if you have ever taken a high-level math class with him.

I wish I could rate him above 5 for clarity, he deserves it. Amazing professor, perhaps the best I've ever had. Take any class he offers. It might not be easy, but you'll learn a ton and he's extremely helpful and engaging.

Professor Saracino is the absolute best of the Mathematics department. His lectures are clear and enthusiastic, he is extremely helpful in his generous office hours and is a fair grader. Very intelligent and nice, he is ready to answer any question you may have, be it related to the course or not. Take as many classes with him as you can!

Very good teacher. Lectures are always fairly interesting, and though the material isn't easy, a little time spent in office hours clears up everything easily. Put in your own work and you'll do well. Best Prof I've ever had.

AWESOME PROFESSOR! He has a passion for teaching math that makes him one of the best professors I have ever had. He is funny and likeable and very helpful if you go see him in office hours. If you are struggling he will make sure you do what is necessary to turn things around. Great guy.

Saracino is the man. His lectures are great and he shows extreme commitment to helping us (for example, holding extra office hours on weekends before exams). Number theory exams are 4 hours long but that's so much better than being rushed on an exam.

Comment:

Saracino is a blast in class. Made a boring class fun to go to. He went over problems very clearly and never made assumptions about what we know, instead going through all the steps. Also, homework is never due, but he gives full solutions to all the assignments. Good practice tests, again with solutions.

Professor Saracino is amazing. He's hilarious, kind, and fair. He explains everything really clearly and only chooses homework problems that will really help you understand the topic. The homework is never checked or graded, and he gives you a packet with the problems done out for you for each section. If you have a choice, take Saracino!!!
