It's an accounting class, so yes, there is a lot of homework. Dr. Ward is very serious about attendance, and if you are late, you won't be allowed in the class. He will easily kick you out for disrupting the class. But he is very intelligent and answers every questions I've ever asked. He also told lots of funny stories in class, I enjoyed him.

I am an accounting major and I decided to take Dr Ward for 202. I know 202 isn't the hardest but take this guy if you wanna pass. He lets you know what questions will be asked on exams and goes over the homework. He does tend to kick people out of his class. That's the only downside

I love Accounting but Advanced Tax Accounting is one of the most difficult acct classes I've ever taken. Dr. Dan is a good professor, but the info is very difficult and confusing. He is funny and loves to talk but DO NOT get on his bad side. Exams are mostly all problems and he DOES NOT pull questions from any test bank so STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!

Do not take Dr. Dan Ward. He is one of the reasons why I will not change my major to Accounting. He does not explain thoroughly and he puts students out for silly reasons. If you ask a question, be clear with him because if he feels like it is a dumb question he will dismiss you from class. I do not recommend this professor to anyone.

He kicks people out of class a lot. One girl was on her cellphone so he kicked her out for the whole semester. Also kicked another girl out because she asked what page we were on and he said she should've been paying attention. But he does explain things well and tells you exactly what you're gonna need to know for the tests.

Dr. Ward teaches tax very well and tax is a hard subject to lecture on. He's very knowledgeable about the subject and his tests are very comprehensive so you have to know it like the back of your hand. Good luck!

Dr. Ward is a great teacher. Say what you will about the difficulty of Tax classes (because they are VERY DIFFICULT) but Dr. Ward knows what he's talking about and I found him to be pretty easy to understand. Does NOT mean the class is easy, but I thought he made it easier to understand the material. I wish he taught Tax 1 as well. Don't be late!!

Hardest class I've taken in my entire Accounting Curriculum. Possible to learn the material but you better be prepared to study hardcore for 2-3 weeks before each exam. A TON of information to retain and all topics covered on exam so you must know it all. Would help if Dr. Ward would work problems on the board since his entire test are problems!!

Dr. Ward is an extremely good teacher, however Tax 2 is VERY difficult! It's required for any accounting major so you have to suck it up. Just tons of information retention required for this course.

BORING! Doesnt explain as well as the female Ward. Harder than her. Ask questions if you dont understand. Extremely knowledgeable and willing to help if you have questions. Not as good as his wife though.

Great teacher! He has his pet peeves though..PAY ATTENTION and DON'T TALK while he's talking.. he kicked someone out for that. Other than that, he's straight forward and will teach you only what you need to know for the tests. He also goes over all the homework in class. He will tell you what to study for the tests. Study that and you'll be fine!

He has a tough exterior and is very serious about discipline in class. (He kicked out three grad students because they were not paying attention) But he explained the subject material like no other. I have a much clearer understanding of Accounting. He really knows his material and can explain it on a level that a normal person can understand.

Pay attn to what he says in class and he tells you what's on the exam. Gotta do the homework, but this IS accounting and you're not gonna find an acct teacher anywhere who doesn't require a lot of homework, and if you do, then you're not gonna learn anything. This guy and his wife are the reason I passed the CPA exam first time out.
