Comment:

Dr. Ward is a BEAST! This class is ridiculous to say the least. The work isn't hard but she crams entirely too much information on one exam that you don't have anytime to complete it. She is a good lecturer and knows the materials but she sucks as a test creator. If you aren't a good test taker you will fail her class. Most fail the 1st time.

Comment:

She can seem nice and pleasant, but it's very insincere. She doesn't teach very well at all and spends the whole class time reading off slides and clicking next slide. Not to mention the examples in the slides are the same as the book so if you want to work through more examples and have explanations find an actual educator on youtube to teach you.

Dr ward is very sharp, knows the material backward and forward. Seems to take it personally if u do poorly on tests or dont know an answer in class. Pleasant on the surface but simmering rage underneath. Tests are very difficult but she does give partial credit. Some bonus available too. Must make 360 pts ON TESTS to pass. Thats a72Avg on tests...

Comment:

Dr. Ward has made me really love accounting. Many find her hard to pass but I found the class easy if you put the time and effort in. Make perfect attendance & you get 10 extra points. Keep up w/homework it'll pay off when it comes to test-taking. The tests vary b/w multiple choice, fill in the blank, short-answer, and word problems so don't slack!

Most people fail the first time and a few repeat a 2nd time. 3 exams & 1 comprehensive final. Every little detail is on the test and is graded. Partial credit is given but every little things done wrong by her stands is marked wrong. Perfect attendance is give 10pts to final grade, trust me you need the 10pts! Very tough class.

Dr. Ward gives a good lecture. Answers questions a bit sarcastically. Test are tough! and Not Multiple choice, doesn't warn about online quizzes, listen to every little detail because it will be on the test, she is very particular about the small details. Know the everything on every from and how to get it. Good Luck!!!

This class is easy if you show up everyday and take great notes. Right down everything she talks about cause that's the easiest way to study. She doesn't check the homework she assigns, but do it because that's the only way to understand the application. She won't tell you about the moodle quizzes, so stay on top of that. They're easy points.

Dr. Ward did tend to rush towards the end of the semester. Jamming in quizzes to make up for the points that she did not get to throughout the semester. Her tests consist of MC, fill in the blank, etc (no scantrons except for final). The tests were a bit exaggerated. Overall not satisfied with this class. Will probably finish with a C.

Dr. Ward is an excellent teacher. 301 was like a breeze compared to 302. If you think Dr. Ward is hard, wait to take Dr. Hsu for 302, you won't know what hit you when you take her tests! Be thankful Dr. Ward gives partial credit, Dr. Hsu doesn't! I got an A in Dr. Ward's class and I'm struggling in 302 even though I study for days for the tests. Consider switching your major if you are struggling in 301, because you will not pass 302, it's much harder!

Unfortunately she's not very helpful during her office hours. She's makes the material harder than it really is. Now don't get me wrong the material is not so easy, but if you go to class and do your work you should be fine. Read the book and try to get some help from others that's doing well in class or whoever already took this course.

This class requires you to read and do the homework. When your advisor tells you this is not a class to get behind on, listen. If you keep up with the chapter and the homework, you'll be fine. Her exams are not multiple choice but she does give partial credit for calculations, just pay attention and you'll be fine.

Go to class everyday and that's 10 extra bonus points. Gives quizzes online throughout the semester with 3 attempts per quiz and you can check your answers before you send them through. Tests aren't extremely hard but they are tedious. If you are an accounting major you should wind up with an A if you apply yourself enough.

She has absolutely no sense of time management and this happens continuously in her 301 class every semester. She attempted to teach a whole chapter which she was adding on to her already cumulative final the class before the final exam. Also ran out of time to give anymore homework points/quizzes and gave a worksheet due the day of the final.

Dr. Ward is definitely not an easy teacher. Unless you do the homework, study on your own, and go to every class and truly pay attention, you won't pass. She speeds through the material and is not all that clear about it. I've never made a C in a class in my life, and this may just be my first. If you're an acct. major, you can't avoid her.

Comment:

Dr. Suzanne Ward is the reason I chose Acct as a major. She is an excellent teacher and makes acct very easy to understand. However, her exams are very long and very thorough. She has MC, TF, Short Answer, and Problems on every exam. Quizzes are ridiculous. DO NOT show up late or talk in class, she will make you pay dearly!

Dr. Ward at first impression appears cold and intimidating; but it appears that she is actually a nice person . This class is one of the toughest that I have taken thus far. I made an A in each of my prior accounting classes, however barely passed this class with a C. I would recommend doing all homework, attending all classes, and do all readings.

Very difficult, but that's how it should be! She teaches a LOT of material, but goes over it thoroughly, and is always willing to talk after class or office hours. Also very helpful about Accounting in general, not just what she's teaching, and will help any way she can. Go to class!

Dr Ward is an extremely difficult teacher. She teaches a lot in a very short period, doesn't go over everything, and assigns homework on topics she hasn't taught yet. She will answer your questions in class, but sometimes not very thoroughly. Her tests are very difficult. Make sure you attend class, very important, plus no absences gets bonus pts.

If your don't know what Accounting is all about, you will after taking Dr. Ward. She is serious, exams cover every bit of material in lectures. This class is where "real" accounting begins. You will have sleepless nights but you will thank her later when you get to 302 which is twice as hard as 301.

Dr. Ward is one of the best Accounting professors in the state. She has earned every degree offered in Accounting and she is the perfect teacher to weed out students who aren't serious about this major. She is thorough, she works problems and her tests will challenge you. Her exams are NOT replicas of the homework and are long. Quizzes are hard
