Dana is a great professor. Very passionate about what he teaches. Study guides cover tests pretty straight forward and he points out important things that you need to know for the test. I had to work for that A, but take advantage of the extra credit points and make every test and assignment point count.

Dana is an interesting guy. Very sarcastic in the classroom and isn't afraid to say "no, that's wrong". As some have stated, I wasn't expecting to have to try too hard for an A in this class but boy was I wrong. Test questions were trivial sometimes. Must write down darn near everything he says to get them all right, study guide won't save you

Comment:
Not a fan of Dana whatsoever, very arrogant. I'm a straight A 3rd-year honor student minoring in PUBH and I had to fight for a C in this class. We had no review sessions like the other posts mentioned and nothing on the study guide was on the test. Tests were impossible, asked irrelevant questions and are your entire grade... so don't screw up.

Comment:
Courses are unnecessarily difficult. Dana treats students with animosity and disrespect. He has obviously found himself in a comfortable spot at the U and doesn't feel the need to try hard at his job any more.

Dana is a pretty interesting teacher. I thought the tests were more difficult than they needed to be but he does a decent job providing you a study guide to outline what will be on it. Book is unnecessary.

I really liked Dana because he is a good teacher. I sometimes found him to have an attitude, but the lectures were interesting. However even with studying for the tests I didn't get the easy A's I thought I would even if I thought the test was super easy. This may be different from last sem because there aren't review sessions this time.

Dana is so funny and enthusiastic about Public Health. His lecture slides are helpful but you have to go to class to fill in the details. A lot of daily readings for each lecture but it's not too bad. Exams are straight forward. Dana is the best!

Dana was an awesome professor. You do have to go to class everyday to get a good grade, but that comes with being a college student. Everything comes off the slides, but you have to be in class to fill the slide information in. He was very nice, helpful, and enthusiastic. Overall a great professor!

Dana Farley is very interested in the topic and always seems excited about the subject matter. Provides study guides for tests with practically everything you need to know for the exam. Must go to class and take notes- most questions are directly off the slides. Very interesting class and pretty easy!!

This class is pretty interesting and not too hard as long as you go to lecture. Most of the test questions are right from the power points! Don't worry about buying the book though, it is not really necessary. It is a good class!

I wouldn't take this class with this professor unless you are going to show up to class every single day, take notes like crazy and pretend like you are interested in what you are saying. Honestly, if I had to take this class again for some reason, I wouldn't or I would try to do it independently somehow! Not a great experience!

Pretty easy class as long as you show up, do the assignments, the extra credit, study the study guides and go to the study sessions you will probably get an A their is a book for the class but most tested info is givin in lecture. Just showing up at the least is a C for as easy as the class is.

This class is very simple as long as you take good notes and listen to extra details he emphasizes. If you don't attend class everyday it's not a bid deal because he gives study guides before test and the TA have review sessions. The review sessions are "key" to doing good on the tests!!

This was the easiest class I've ever taken. He's really easy to understand, and as long as you just go to class, you'll do fine. Very similar to any high school health class structure-not college material.
