Comment:

Dr. Morrison is one of the best history Professors at Salem State he cares for his students and is really helpful on assignments. He also understands that we have other classes and is always willing to extend the due date.

Comment:

Dr. Morrison is one of the best Professors at Salem State. He always stops during lectures to make sure we understand the material. He assigns a couple of brief essays and as long as you follow the directions you'll get an A. Dr. Morrison also gives extra credit to help boost your grade. Overall a great Professor .

Not a history major, but the course I took was SUPER interesting. Dr. Morrison is a nice guy and is very respectful of your time. He understands we all have outside lives. Assigns 2 - 10pg term papers, but as long as your write the papers you'll pass. Plenty of time & content. Be ready to be involved in class discussions! I would take him again!!

Dr. Morrison is the best professor I've ever taken. I wish all my classes were taught by someone like him. There isn't much work spread throughout the semester, but the term paper is huge and you'll need to put in a fair amount of effort. I looked forward to going to his class every week. Very inspirational educator and super kind and funny.

Perhaps my favorite professor I have ever had at Salem State. He is passionate about what he teaches, and his enthusiasm for the material is contagious. He respects his students and gives plenty of time and help with any given assignment. I love Professor Morrison!

He is amazing! His classes are pretty easy, but I find myself learning so much. I would take him again. He truly cares about his students and understands you have lives outside of school. He truly respects each and one of his students.

Dr. Morrison was my advisor and instrustor. He was there to help me every step of the way at SSU. His classes are good, if you write the papers you will pass. He always gives students plenty of time to do assignments, he wont just assign a paper and have it due in a few days or anything. Wicked nice guy, would've taken all his classes if possible.

Loved the class he taught. He is always concerned about a student's progress in the classroom. You have to write a couple of papers for his class, but he makes sure he gives the students plenty of time to work on them. Very knowledgeable, but you will have to read the books he assigns you.

Possibly one of the kindest professors at SSU. He really takes command of the subject matter. An amazing source of knowledge on the Old China Trade and business history. His class is challenging, but if you put in the effort you will do well.

He is a really great guy and makes the material fun. His lectures can get a little boring at the end of the day but he tries his best. Your grade is based on 5 papers, a mid term and a final. He grades pretty strictly so be prepared to know your stuff. I honestly stopped using the textbooks, reputable sites give you good info on the topics.

Professor Morrison is a really nice guy. However, I felt so lost and confused in this class. The papers he has you write I found to be hard because he expects you not to use the internet. For the final/midterm, you had to write two 5 page papers and although I did OK on them, they were extemely stresful. Do NOT take him if you aren't HST major

Dane was the best history teacher I've ever had. If you have an interest in revolutionary war history then he is the man to see. Extremely knowledgeable. He is the only professor I've had to come up to me and say "I really like having you in my class". Highly recommend him, unless you hate essays.

Dr. Morrison is an amazing professor. Honestly, he is one of the major reasons why I stay at Salem State. He is always there to help and is a phenomenal lecturer. I would recommend any class with him. But don't take advantage of his niceness- read the books and do the work for his sake!

Assigns lots of reading. Most important are the lectures which you will need the notes to be successful on the Mid-Term & Final. Required a book review that expectations were not fully explained but keep asking questions and he will answer them. Dr. Morrison is an excellent lecturer and a fair grader. Wants students to succeed. Very nice person.

You will learn more than you have ever learned before about history. Very good lectures. Grade was based on Mid-Term and Final only with opitional book review. Lots of reading. Very knowledgable and does answer and welcome questions. Very passionate about subject matter. Good notes are necessary for doing the tests. Would take again.

Dr. Morrison is a very nice guy and means well. But is extremely disorgaized and it is sometimes unclear about what he wants in an assignment but is very helpful if you ask him. I would only recommend his class to history major who don't mind being disorganized.
