Had him for Baptist History. Very intelligent man - I think he has every book he's ever read memorized (including the footnotes). I remember on a book report the page #'s on my bibliography got mixed up - he corrected them off the top of his head! (didn't mark me off, either). He knows his stuff and makes it very interesting.

Comment:

Great Bible and church history Teacher. Had him for three classes (one undergraduate and two graduate) and really enjoyed him. His extensive traveling to biblical lands has really enriched his background knowledge of the Scriptures. His accounts of these visits are extremely interesting and in many cases humorous! Very friendly and helpful.

I had Dr. Beale for three undergrad and three grad classes. Always learned a lot. The Church History can be a mite dry, but not because of the teacher -- the field is a bit unexciting a points. But Dr. Beale has helped me in and out of class regularly.
