He's a really great teacher. My only complaints are that he uses a lot of paper and speaks English 1/4th of the time. besides that he's awesome!

Hella handouts. This dude blows through trees every class. Otherwise, his classes are fine. Wish we could practice speaking more and less time on worksheets and spending half the class going over answers. He gives extra credit, beware of Oral group presentations and trick questions on quizzes. I turned in my workbook a day late and he gave me 50%

He speaks Spanish almost all class and it's a little intimidating at first, but once you get used to it, it's so much fun!!! He's also super nice and a really good teacher.

Honestly the nicest and funniest guy. Oral presentations are hard but they can be enjoyable. No final exam is a plus.

Easy but annoying class. Four times a week in the mornings were not fun. He was funny, but not always clear. Beware of oral presentations with other students before every quiz. There is no final in this class. Little homework sheets are easy to forget, but are graded so do them. Most people in the class are only there for their retroactive credits

Easy-going professor. The units are exactly the same in regards to the chronological order of activities. New material covered almost each day. Definitely don't skip class.

Really, really nice guy. The class is pretty easy. You get a lot of handouts, watch some movie clips, and class time is very efficiently used. He always has Latino music playing when we come in the room!

He shows horribly outdated videos, about which students then answer questions. Pop quizzes are one question: A/F. The final is a presentation. I did far more research than I should have needed to but I am not a good public speaker, for which he must have scored me incredibly low on it, since it brought me down an entire letter grade overall.

Professor Breining is very passionate about the Spanish language, but will repeat things in English if he feels it's necessary. Homework is optional, and the tests aren't too difficult. Doesn't allow notes or scripts in oral presentations, and is a pretty tough grader on papers, understandably. Participate in class! It affects your final grade.

He's nice, but a very harsh grader. he takes off points for mistakes in how your papers are set up (commas, capitalization, etc). He makes jokes and stuff, but he's quite odd.

If your grammer isn't great, your not going to get an A. If he tells you to memorize something, do it, he has pop quizzes (just one question. You can either get an A or F). His grading is strict, but the everyday classes are easy. You watch shows about culture (in english) almost every day. No final!

This guy is a jerk. He tells you the class is not a grammar class then docks your grade based solely on grammar(happened to me three times) It's not like I didn't try hard to fix it for him, he is just a ****. Don't take any classes with him because he plays favorites. If you have a different opinion than him, don't expect to get a good grade

Speaks very clearly in Spanish, easy to understand. Knows his stuff. However, I am an A students and got As on everything throughout the semester. Final Grade for the course given was a B. Why? Participation. I almost never raise my hands but I always speak when called on and always discussed in small groups. Not good enough for him.

Comment:
This professor doesn't provide feedback on grades throughout the semester, and then screws you over by giving you a bad grade at the end of the semester. He basically expects you to know everything about the spanish grammar. He grades very hard. Will take off a complete letter grade for using "cosa" or "etcetera" in a paper--take a different prof.
