If you take his class, know this: His tests are horrible, and the writing assignments are worse. While the tests are extremely difficult, they are at least graded fairly. However, he grades his papers using some irrational standard with no rhyme or reason. He is Baha'i, and rides a motorcycle. He will speak of these constantly. It's ridiculous.

Rowe is a nice guy and a good teacher, but you need to attend class and do every reading and remember it all exactly! esp.for 290 if he mentions a stat. you must remember it and although the book is 80% stats, you must remember those as well. He will not like your writing, no matter what. that said, taken 2 classes of his now, would consider a 3rd

Information is understandable in class, but when presented on exam, very difficult. Uses concepts, not ideas. Very vague lectures, doesn't cover any of text book, but expects you to know it on exams. Exams are only oppertunity to earn points for class. 200 pts. total.

I studied a lot for tests and they were still pretty much impossible to get a really good grade on. Not a fun class. I would suggest taking anyone else possible for Psychology 110.

I like him because he makes Psychology interesting and obviously loves it, but his class is the hardest one I've taken. Study for the tests at least a week ahead, take the practice exam online, attend every class, take thorough notes in the book and lecture. His tests are specific, but there's a big curve. Don't text in class, and READ THE BOOK!

overall, not good at teaching. pretty careless of his students as well. i failed the class by one point and he wouldn't let me do ANYTHING to get that ONE point to pass the class. also, his way of teaching and not helpful. he teaches like you should already know the material. just because he knows it so well, he thinks everyone else should too.

Lectures are too the point and somewhat interesting, be prepared for a lot of note taking. You have to study a lot for the exams but a bit of hard work will pay off in a good grade. Has some funny moments but otherwise its a pretty dull class, good guy tho.

He is known as the toughest psych professors and lives up to this name. His lectures sort of don't make sense at times because he talks a lot and doesn't explain much. He expects you to remember tiny tidbits of information from the lecture for the test. His tests are hard because they make you use certain concepts to figure out the answer.

He grades papers very harshly and disliked my citing of another PROFESSOR. Tests are not related to the material well as he puts on very specific statistics and percentages that do not help the student in any way. Example: How much did federal spending on drugs increase? A.) 5% B.) 6% C.) 7% D.) 8%, and you need to know exactly which one it is.

Completely worthless professor. Ridiculous class. He has a sense of humor and teaches the material well - problem is, much of it is not on the exam. His class includes 3 exams which consist of minute details never discussed in class or in the book. Very intelligent, but knows it and treats his students that way.

I learned soo much in this class and yes, it is a hard class, but so worth it because of the knowledge you will receive. He is a great professor, but sometimes is too smart for his own good and forgets that we don't know what he knows. Overall, very impressed and he gives you plenty of opportunities to succeed. STUDY STUDY STUDY!!

Rowe is a great professor. His exams get pretty tough sometimes, but if you do the readings, take good notes, and make an effort to go to class, you should get a good grade in the course. (Pay attention when studying for the exams...he like to have questions regarding percentages/stats alot of the time.)

There was only three tests total and none of them were curved. He has a really weird way of grading, that didn't make sense. His Final was pretty hard. Monotone, boring at times, didn't explain things very well.

Dr. Rowe was a great teacher. Make sure you sit near the front or you will not be able to understand him. As long as you read the textbook and study his notes you can pass with flying colors. If you are a person that hates to study and memorize things do not take this class. He only has three exams and that is your total grade.

Funny sense of humor when you can catch it. Tests are above average difficulty but curved a lot. Very monotone and some days he is very crabby. Turn your cell phone off!
