His classes can be on the dry side, hard to focus in and he tends to ramble a little. However, he is always willing to help and answer questions. Most of his work revolves around ancient philosophers and theory so prepare for some really boring material. He's pretty fair on grading but if you just Google the simplified versions of the text it helps

I love this professor. If your into some deep political discussions take political theory with him. You have to go to class, and to really "get it" you have to read the assigned reading, but he's a great teacher and if you show interest then he'll give you a good grade.

This guy definitely smoked alot of bud back in the day. He's a very smart, cool guy even though hes kinda strange. He loves what he does and thats a good thing in a teacher. Read a little bit and talk some in class and you should have no problem getting an A.

you have a quiz every day, about 3 exams, and a paper/presentation-he grades SO EASY.he has difficulty dumbing things down, but he knows his stuff! he gets off topic very easily. all the notes are posted on angel-print them off before you go to class!!! many extra credit opportunities. id take him again!

SOOOOOOOOOOO BORINGGGGGGGGG... i sit in class and play on my phone from the minute i walk in to the minute i leave. you have a quiz everyday. on the reading. hes a fairly easy grader, i read 1 chapter total out of the 4 books we read and got a B. you can get by with spark notes and just going to class. sooooo boring but hes a funny weird guy

Took him for my first plsc class. Class is more of a philosophy/psychology/political mix. Discussion can get sort of fuzzy at times. You don't have to read all of the material or go to class but its recommended since there's a quiz every day. He's a bit odd but he enjoys his job. Very relaxed and easy class if you do the work. Nice guy, likes what he teaches. Every week there's either a quiz or paper due (a pain), but he's a very easy grader; pay attention to class discussions & do the assignment and you'll probably get a good grade. I didn't even read the text (much), but it's probably a good idea to do so. Allows discussion about personal ideas. Don't take at 8!

not worth taking the class. not helpful. real abstract.too much work and not enough learning. doesnt really go over the stuff that he puts on tests. you dont need 2 read everything. if you go and have any idea of whats up you'll be fine. but definitely dont take it early in the morning.

i couldnt have asked for a better prof to instruct me in my first class of polysci. dileo is awesome.. jus read most of the assigned readings and then listen to him lecture and occasionally participate and its an easy A.. seriously if someone doesnt get at least a B in the class with how easy grading he is, then you must be an idiot.

Worst professor ever. He changed our syllabus halfway through the semester. Required way too much reading. Debates were mostly worthless and took away from the class. He's unclear. The amount of reading & work for an 001 class is ridiculous, he treats it like a 400 level course. I'm not afraid to read or do work either. Would avoid him at all costs

The other poster said: "Class only has 100 points and its hard to get an A." THAT'S BECAUSE EACH ASSIGNMENT IS WORTH 5 POINTS!! You're so illogical. Anyway... he knows his stuff. He is very personable and not that difficult if you have any sense of motivation. He has some difficulty speaking clearly, but you get used to it. I'd do it again.

Do not recommend unless you're very motivated/have a lot of time. More work than it's worth. He's not very clear, and most of what he goes over isn't on the test. It's practically a self-teaching class. Extremely difficult/time consuming to do well. Tough readings. Half of the course is debates, which leaves me feeling like I'm getting robbed.

This guy confused me so bad. I WAS interested in the government before i took the class, but not anymore. To many readings...most of them very boring or really hard to understand. Gives tons of quizes mostly without reviewing beforehand. Government theory oriented class. Class only has 100 points and its hard to get an A.
