Even though his lecture style is kind of dry, he's a really good teacher and pretty nice. He gives homework/reading every day, but it's not that hard and he grades fairly. Also, he asks A LOT of questions, so there's opportunities for you to participate in class. If you keep up with everything, you'll have no problem doing well.

If you do the work, then you will be fine. Along with participating and asking for help. If you do this then he will be fair in grading.

This man is brilliant. He assigns relevant assignments and creates equally relevant tests. His grading policy is fair and his lectures are clear; class lessons will boil down the readings into focused summaries. His talks allow for easy note-taking. He encourages everyone to participate in class. He is very kind and approachable. Take his classes.

I thought he was one of the most interesting professors I have taken at KU. He was very clear in his lectures. You have 3 papers for the class. You must follow the format that he asks for and answer the questions asked. I would recommend him to anyone.

only a minor paper assignment, a mid term and a final. That gives you no extra help in other areas. I even went for help and he just looked at my notes, kept them and didn't get back to me at all. He is THE worst Professor of all at Kutztown.

No, no, no, no...never ever ever take this professor. The workload is unbelievable if you're trying to juggle five classes. He only likes a select few in the class and if you aren't one of the elites, you are ignored. Stay far far away!

He's a really really nice guy and a great teacher, but the class can get a little boring. If you keep up with the assignments this class is no problem. Questions on the midterm & final are taken directly from his study guides, which is a happy plus. Study those & get his input (which really does help) on the 1 paper you have to write.

Dr. Kotzin makes history interesting. He thoroughly goes over the at home reading and although there is only a midterm, final and a paper, he provides the midterm and final questions beforehand. He knows what he is talking about and encourages students to participate. Easy course.

Theres only a midterm, final, & paper, so not much room for error. He is the absolute most boring professor ever. It is so hard to stay awake in his class, his voice justs puts me right to sleep. & if he doesn't put you to sleep, you'll be distracted by his ridiculous combover, so you won't be able to pay attention anyway.

grades very unfair and there are only 2 tests, a final and a paper. can't bring up your grade at all, study your ass off if you want an A and make sure you're really good at writing or you won't pass. i wouldn't recommend him at all...

He is a very hard teacher. His classes are pretty boring, but sometimes interesting. He is a very hard grader and you only have a midterm, a paper, and a final and that's it. Not alot of room for mistakes. All his tests are essay and he grades like a english prof. Do not take this class.

I don't like Kotzin because he makes you read about 25 pages a night and you have to do the homework cuz he'll call on you in class. midterm, final and a paper are your only grades and he is a hard grader. Class is interesting tho. Don't take if u r just gettin history out the way
