If u r willing to memorize the whole txt book, take him. He didn't give any notes or reviews. What he does in every class is he just briefly (JUST BRIEFLY) talks about the chapters that u hv to memorize the whole things. Also he talk a chapter in one class period.. so 3 times a week means 3 chapters in a week. SO SAVE URSELF.

His lectures are rambling, he has no tests and draws no information from the $90 book I purchased, making his mandatory attendance policy torturous. The only assignment was 40hrs of community service, which is basically like having another class. If you take his class be prepared to be on your own, Dr. Lago is completely inept as an educator.

Dan is a great professor. You can really learn alot if you listen and come to class. He gives credit for attendance when attendance is low. He will review your work as many times as you submitt it so a bad grade is your laziness. His humor makes the class interesting.

This class isnt impossible but you definately have to be on the ball to do well. If u skip class you're definately screwing yourself-plus he gives bonus if u come when attendence is low. Be prepared to spend alot of time on the final project & then do it all over again cause he picked everything apart. He does know his stuff tho, no denying that!

Dan is a very nice guy but his classes can be hard to follow. He does not give directions well and all assignments turned in by the class are done differently because no one knows specifically what to do. You are going to have to ask lots of questions. He is very flexible and understanding. The tests are hard. Read the book and you'll do fine!

This class is only an intro course but you wouldn't know when taking it. It is a class meant to single out people not interrested in HDFS. The quizzes are very hard especially if you don't read. You HAVE to dedicate a lot of time to this class. Take the practice quizzes. He is helpful if you ask questions. He doesn't give very good notes.

Dan is actually a good teacher. I can't say anything bad about him. If you have a problem and you talk to him he is understanding. I enjoy his classes, I have learned from him. I also think he is one of the better HDFS teachers we have at Penn State Altoona.

Easy A. I recommend the class. He gave 18 extra credit points to us, plus he'd have 30 questions on a test and count 25. Only bad part is term paper.

Nice guy. Horrible teacher. Lectures aren't clear, and he often goes off on a tangent. Difficult to take notes. Best bet for test taking is reading chapters and taking online quizzes but wouldn't recommend him.

Class can be boring. It is long and it seems like he gives no notes. No one ever showed up for class and we got no extra credit. He does curve the tests though, but they are hard. Even asks like exact numbers. Must read the book!

Easy class, is pretty much a rehash of psych 2 and 213. If you've studied any human development at all, this'll be a breeze. I turned in a paper a week late and still got an A. His notes are useless though, and class is boring.
