I had Lomba for an online Econ course and he helped me out tremendously. I was having issues with the site that the course took place on and as soon as I emailed him he got back to me almost immediately to assist me with the problems I was having. The tech support was horrendous and didn't help me at all but Lomba came through with the sauce.

Even with it being an online course, he was pretty absent from the course. Got an email from him with the syllabus at the beginning of the semester, and never heard from him again. If your want to learn economics, save yourself the fees the school charges, and take an online course after you graduate for a certificate, you'll probably get more help

Lomba is the man... He has a reckless sense of humor but it's hilarious, and he's a great professor because he's just a genius too. I'm graduating in a few months and his classes will probably be the most memorable from my time at Bridgewater. Grade wise, as long as you do the work and pay attention in class you'll be fine.

Great overall person. Get on his good side. Show up to class because people wont and he notices when you do. Participate when he starts talking about random stuff he likes to hear the students dumb responses. Get on his good, side talk to him a lot and he will help you get through the class.

He makes crude jokes for most of the class, so if you're one that gets offended easily, don't take his class. The tests are nearly impossible HOWEVER, if you Ace the online material, you'll pass the class.

Great professor! Connect homework done in a timely manner is a must. Be sure to ask questions and you'll be winning in this class. He is very up to date on current events and applies topics to real life examples. Learned and remembered way more than I expected and I continue to apply statistics outside of the class room.

rants about white supremacy and tells kids theyre going nowhere in life. skips through slides without going over them. skipped a fair amount of classes but so did half the rest of the class because he just doesnt care. didnt really learn anything from him specifically unless you ask him. pretty annoying. doesnt respond to emails ever tests are hard

Taken him twice and learned a ton. Just listen and you will see how his rants relate to the material. My views aren't the same as his but I still enjoyed the lecture. He is opinionated and will probably insult your view of the world. SUCK IT UP. If you are too sensitive to handle a racial joke or a shot at capitalism then you have bigger issues...

I did the accelerated winter program. All work was done online. 3 tests and optional final. Extremely easy class, all you had to do was the practice tests.

I took this class as a free elective and I took it online for convenience. The material was as hard and easy as I expected, but I would've appreciated more help from the Prof. Lomba. I sent him a couple emails with questions about the quizzes and he never replied to any of them. Really unprofessional...

I do NOT recommend taking this class in the summer or online like I did. It was very difficult to understand. That being said, even though I should've been lucky to get a C-, Professor Lomba gave me a B. I have no idea how that happened and I thank him very much for that.

Dr. Lomba is great, I would go to class simply to listen to him rant on what is wrong with BSU. As for economics, it was a lot of info that I had a hard time keeping up with. Class lectures should be more involved with the text, he tried something different. I'm looking forward to taking his online 210 in the fall.

This class is easy, but there's a lot of work such as keeping up with the chapters online & learning about the graphs. I have no interest in ECON whatsoever but it was interesting to watch all of the documentaries about the economy & the financial industry- I enjoyed all that. But as for the subject, no passion. Skipped class a few times.

To below: you clearly have no idea what you are talking about if you think liberalism and socialism are interchangeable. You'd think he'd suffer through teaching this conservative material but his healthy obsession with it makes him a great professor. I've learned a great deal. "This semester we are playing a stock mkt game." Cry me a river.

He uses class to preach his "socialist" or "liberal" agenda, you don't learn a thing. He is not a good teacher, you will not learn a thing from him. He made attendance 20% of the grade and he doesn't teach EVERYTHING IS ONLINE even lectures. This semester we are playing a stock mkt game, I haven't even taken finance, it makes no sense. STAY AWAY!

I took Dr. Lomba's online course, and it could not be easier. Submit stuff whenever because Lomba is as laid back as it gets. As exam questions are verbatim from the study guides he provided, you can literally use CTRL+F to find the answer to every single question while you're doing the exam. Easy, but you risk not learning anything.

He is a decent professor. He only assigns a few things each semester but he grades pretty hard. Somehow everyone passes (even the people that don't show up or hand anything in), so go ahead and take him but if you are obsessive about your grades and knowing where you stand, he is not for you.

I like Lomba as a guy. Yes he's hilarious. However, I don't think I will take another class with him. He basically just read slides from the (super horrible) textbook and complained about them. That didn't stop him from using it though. We had two take home tests and that's it. They weren't too bad. Boooring class.

To the poster below, dr. Lomba does have tenure, which is why he is able to get away with what he says. If he says otherwise, he is victimizing himself (big surprise there). BSU is no Harvard so pretending he gives you that kind of education just because he is a radical educator like Cornel is lame. Posting it repeatedly isnt going to make it fact
