Comment:

This guy thinks he is Jesus Christ himself. The single worst professor I have ever had. Not only did I not learn a single thing about Foreign Policy, but I actually got dumber having paid my money to sit in his class. Quizzes have nothing to do with the "lectures" and if you are a conservative do yourself a favor and just don't take the class.

Very awkward but nice guy. Does not respond to emails. Previous students said to read the book before an exam but we did not get a book. Lectures every day and rambles on but the lecture does not match what is on the study guide or exam.

Dr. McIntosh is the most disorganized professor I've ever worked with. He showed up 45 minutes late to the final because he was still printing the tests off, and then proceeded to yell at US. His expectations are unclear, his lectures are hard to follow, and you'll learn most of the material from the text.

Took this class because I had to fill in liberal studies blocks. If you do not have to take this class, save yourself the trouble and don't. He lectures all class and usually holds us after we are supposed to let out just so he can finish his lecture because he gets so off topic. Also, you must read for pop quizzes.

Seems like a nice guy, worst teacher ever. I had over a 4.0 in high school, and all A's in college except his class. I read all the chapters and still have no idea what is going on. He rambles on about nothing! Its sad but I would rate him a zero if I could.

Dr. McIntosh is awkward but a cool dude. His quizzes have been completely based on what he talks about in class, sometimes direct quotes were the questions. He tells us we have to read the book but has a very strange way of lecturing in that he will use examples that don't make a lot of sense to the students. His tests are also worded strange.

McIntosh is a super nice guy and knows a lot about what he does. That being said, he does not teach anything you need to know for the tests. All the learning is on your own outside of class by memorizing the book because thats what his 2 tests are on. It is interesting if you are a poly major but for others dont take this class

really nice guy but class sucks. We are 3 weeks in and haven't taken a notes yet but have had 2 quizzes. He rambles on all class about current events and you have to teach yourself from the book. I recommend not taking him but if you do make sure you have the book for the first day of class bc he expects you to have already read the first chapter.

Dr. Mcintosh was no help to me. I failed my first test because he graded it by using the wrong key and refused to change the grade. When I went to see him during his office hours, he was asleep on the couch in his office. Absolutely the worst show of professionalism I have seen in my academic career.

McIntosh is a smart man, but he is awfully boring. He will ramble the entire class with little material learned. You can also expect a pop quiz at least once a week. Overall though, its not a horrible class and you should be able to get a B.

Worst "professor" I've had by far, picks out the students who he will give good grades to on papers the first day, if you aren't a political science major he won't pay you the time of day. Highly recommend not taking this or any other class offered by this "professor".

Don't take his class. He gives out attendence points gave me a low grade when I came everyday, and he doesn't even know anyones names. Pop quizzes, three exams, all on stuff from the book not what he talks about in class. Don't have to go to the class it doesn't help at all.

Was very interested in this class but it turned out to be a waste of time. Scenarios and discussion in class are about completely irrelevant things like sci-fi movies or justin beiber. He doesn't return emails either so don't even bother sending one if you have an issue. Try to avoid the foreign policy upper level classes at SRU.

Very nice man, dont get me wrong. Class is by far the hardest Ive taken... His lectures make absolutely no sense. I think he's very intelligent, but just can't teach what he knows to his students. Most days are spent covering current events, which could be helpful, if he'd focus more on relating them to the topic instead of rambling...
