Ed is absolutely full of practical, real world experience to clarify what he teaches. Extremely helpful inside and outside of class. As with ANY class, you get out of it what you put into it. Put some effort into learning before you blame the professor!

Very Confusing. Although he knows his stuff, he lectures you as if you've been an engineer for years. If you can, get someone else!! Only 2 quizzes one tough material. Not much to base a grade off of.

Had no interest in the class at all. Pop quizzes killed scores and had to be dropped. The labs never worked and had to be fixed so they would work. The final was on lecture points that weren't covered in great detail. The final review and the final were 100% different. Buy the book and learn from that instead.

He cares too much about his hobbies to be an instructor. His PP's are poorly planned out. Don't expect to leave this class knowing anything more than what you came into it with. You cover about 2/3 of what the syll. says you will. You will never know your grade until after you take your final, nor will you ever get a test back or know the grade.

Ed was probably the worst teacher I've ever had in EET. We never went over any problems on the board. He taught from all powerpoint (and zoomed through it) but when you asked for the powerpoint he told you that he didnt have the copyrights to give it out Industrial needs a new teacher I learned nothing and the reviews below I agree with & are true.

industrial electronics needs a new professor, or the previous professor back. i have never taken a course that has wasted so much time. if you want to learn industrial electronics dont take it with Ed. After taking some tests in the field i realize how crucial this class should have been...

The fist ans second test was not returned until after the drop date. Hard to follow, little to no concepts, hardly ever uses the book, and the test are not always on what is taught or what he says it will be on.
